Just for the record, she's younger than Jackie Segel.

Cabaret Casting Rumor: Orville Peck & Eva Noblezada Jan 15

I have avoided this show like the plague since their Tony performance and literally said no to a free ticket at one point, and Orville Peck's casting will get me into the theatre.

Rob Marshall to direct new film adaptation of GUYS & DOLLS Sep 24
2024, 06:46:39 PM
ErmengardeStopSniveling said: "Marshall's Oscar creds are 20 years old at this point and he hasn't made anything remotely Oscar-friendly (in major categories) since then, but actors do seem to like working with him. Marshall legitimizes this no more than Bill Condon, who was previously attached for years and couldn't get it made."
Two of the four Oscar nominated films Marshall has made since Chicago received nominations in major categories.

It's non-Equity. Still weird they're allowing the productions to overlap

lol I don't think there's anything "wild" about releasing a family animated film on your streaming service at Thanksgiving.

DRAG: THE MUSICAL Coming to New World Stages This Fall Jun 25

quizking101 said: "Do we think this might actually happen after the sudden cancellation of DEATH DROP?"
I'm still holding out hope we get Death Drop at some point, but this has dates announced and tickets already on sale, so it's much further along than Death Drop ever got.
For anyone interested, code DGAFAN24 is good through Sunday for $47 mezzanine tickets (and some other discounted orchestra seats) for all of previews.

I dunno, sounds like micro aggressions now.
Maybe that’s an angle they’re going for?
Maybe Jason is changing some lyrics?"
It's not a micro aggression. It's an aggression, regardless of race, full stop. And that's the point. Jamie is being awful to her in that moment, as couples sometimes are. This isn't some random cow

ATG is one of the producers, so the Hudson seems like the strongest possibility after Mattress closes, unless one of the long-running shows at a Jujamcyn theatre is closing by the end of the year.

BEN PLATT: LIVE AT THE PALACE Thread Jun 1
2024, 06:50:38 PM
I guess the rules against attacking performers are being selectively enforced again.
I will never understand the level of boredom or delusion or whatever you want to call it that drives anyone to seek out threads here about people or shows they don't like with the express purposes of being vitriolic. Read a book. Go to a movie. Talk about something you actually enjoy. It's exhausting to read your troll posts when we're trying to get reviews, suggestions, and information

No one asked, and they don't need your close-minded money.
I was there this week, and the show was not only sold out, but the entire audience was clearly there for Jinkx. But they're also so respectful of the other performers and uplifting them in a way I'v

The 77th Annual Tony Award Nominations for 2024 Apr 30
2024, 09:20:43 AM
Shocked that, even with 6 nominees, somehow both Ricky Ubeda and Paul Alexander Nolan missed Featured Actor in a Musical.
I'm not as surprised by these nominees, overall, as everyone else seems to be, but seeing them all next to each other, I feel like the winners will be almost impossible to predict.

Yeah, they got some fine pull quotes that will look great blown up on billboards and on the side of the theatre.
Hell, they could probably sell more than a few seats just with the Washington Post quote that "your English teacher would hate this."
