Jennifer Lopez to Star in KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN Film Oct 12

Saw this on Friday night (Philly suburb, 7 of us in the theatre) and really loved it. I've never seen the musical, only the play, but I was very taken with Conden's concept and the juxtaposition of the bleak prison scenes with the vibrant fantasy sequences. (Big "Steppin' to the Bad Side" vibes from the morphine dream, so he definitely has a style.)
The final act is a bit tedious, but making this movie with this message right now feels so very right, and I left wi

lol Toxic remains one of the best pop songs of all time, and the lyric is slightly different ("I need a hit, baby, gimme it")

this is the last time I take advice from BroadwayWorld. This thing was utterly repulsive. Vile, stereotypical characters saying vile stereotypical things. Are you idiots trying to get the country to hate us more????? If so, you’re doing a great job.All the jokes are based on current affairs or specific currently trending people, events or situations, which automatically means this show is dated as soon as the current production

Is the Action Movie Star in the room with us?
I'm not gonna say he's never been in an Action movie, but I certainly would never call him an Action Star."
He is, though. Aside from the live action BatB, his most recognizable film role is in the Fast & Furious franc

MOULIN ROUGE! Broadway Casting Thread Sep 19

Good for Bob! Not sure this solves the million a month they are losing presently. Investors are being very patient about watching the losses pile up and their profits disappear."
He won't move the needle at all. This show prints money on tour so closing up in January after 6.5 years in New Yorkis completely respectable."
When are people going to understand just how loyal and willing to spend money Drag Race fans are? Look at what Jinkx did for Little Shop and Chicago, and Bob is, arguably, better known by the general public after appearing on We're Here and The Traitors and writing a NYT Bestseller than Jinkx was. This will absolutely help sales, especially in the terrible winter months.

They really just didn't know how to market this show. I've been seeing the same ad for it on Pluto TV since that very strange (read: bad) Tony performance, and there was no sense of what the snow was about or even what it's style/genre/lane was, just that they were seemingly courting a female audience. Honestly, it reminded me of a promo I saw years ago for Menopause: The Musical.

Have no idea who she is. Nor would most of the theatre goers. They need a BIG BIG name to keep this going. And like real soon."
Well the purpose of casting her would have been to appeal to NON theatre goers.

It's likely a wheelchair companion seat.

Is she just skipping all the matinees? She was out when I saw it yesterday, and I just read a comment on Instagram that she was out on Saturday too.
Orville is absolutely incredible in this role. If only that replacement Tony we always talk about actually existed.

I really hope it does, too, but it shouldn't go directly to Broadway. It needs to build up some hype in America. Maybe like what SIX did and do a soft North American tour first, then take it to Broadway for a VERY LIMITED run. Or premiere it Off-Broadway in a small space like The Public or NYTW first, and if it's received well, then maybe transfer it to Broadway. There are a

Mine was not a PDF; it was a digital (QR code) ticket, but there still shouldn't be an issue if you just forward the email with the digital ticket in it to your daughter.
You can contact Broadway Direct to confirm via their website.

Rob Marshall to direct new film adaptation of GUYS & DOLLS Sep 24

ErmengardeStopSniveling said: "Marshall's Oscar creds are 20 years old at this point and he hasn't made anything remotely Oscar-friendly (in major categories) since then, but actors do seem to like working with him. Marshall legitimizes this no more than Bill Condon, who was previously attached for years and couldn't get it made."
Two of the four Oscar nominated films Marshall has made since Chicago received nominations in major categories.
