Wasn't the original broadway cars recording of Matilda supposed to be available for digital download today? I can't find it on Amazon or iTunes.
It's scheduled to become available this Friday.
Nope, it's only available at the Shubert Theatre beginning Sept. 27. It will then be released digitally and in stores October 22nd.

LYou can just walk in the door to the merch booth before or after a show and buy it.

That's great, I was going off an article from August. Exciting for people who want to buy it.

Has anyone been able to find any song previews? Typically there would be some by now.
^Sometimes there aren't any. If it's not available to pre-order there usually aren't any clips.

Just from the samples, I already like this much better.
Flailing. I'm very happy they have Telly with is new, slower tempo. I think the London When I Grow Up sounds better, but I listen to it at least ten times a day so I'm biased. Bertie really changed his Trunchbull voice since the OLCR was recorded. I'm so excited. Can't wait to have two versions of every song on my iPod.
It also says that it's being released tomorrow (Thursday)...

On this recording, Mr. Wormwood reads as younger than he does in the West End record, which fits the character- rather than simply a blustery, stupid man, he appears to be still relatively young, and vastly too immature to be a father to anyone, let alone a child genius and a basically brain-dead son.
Bertie Carvel's Trunchbull has become more shrill and severe. The delicacy and bizarre effeminate grace of the West End performance, which I have compared repeatedly to Richard O'Brien, have been replaced with an equally effective, if somewhat blunter, portrayal of the Trunchbull as a straight-up nightmare figure.

Thank you getatme!
Luckily, I still had some iTunes cards around and was able to get it now. I'm still downloading/listening to but my, this sounds just as expected. I've always preferred the Broadway cast and they sound so great. Definitely worth it!! If nothing else besides all the added tracks, Lauren and Bertie, especially the latter, changed it up and it's very interesting to hear the new take on the characters.
Wow. Just wow. Naught (sophia) and Quiet (Milly) are superb. Bruce is really good, and super clear! Great album!
I am dying to buy this on iTunes this second...but I'll buy the CD. Hopefully they have it up in the Shubert tomorrow!!! ><
What the hell is it doing up on itunes a day early? Not that I'm complaining, it's just odd.
Oh whoa! A brand new (cut) song in the Deluxe Version??? I seriously need to buy this now...
Speaking of which, will there be 2 versions of the CD or...?
I'm glad I saw the deluxe version. I almost bought the regular version before I realized there was a different version.
I just got the deluxe version... it sounds amazing!!

WOW. I am quite literally swooning over the updated (and very clean!) sound of this recording. So excited to play though.

The orchestrations on the Broadway version are a million times better. I always thought the London recording sounded somewhat sparse and lacking.
'Naughty' with all four girls was a treat too.
The deluxe version doesn't fit on a single disc so unless they spend the money to release a two CD version I'm going to assume that there will only be one CD release and that the deluxe version is exclusive to digital.
Just bought the deluxe version and canceled my cd order from Amazon.
Errr, anyone getting tingly (down there) listening to Telly? MMmmmmgmgmmmmm. Man has got a sexy voice.

I accidentally bought the normal version. Is the digital booklet different - as in does it have the bonus tracks listed in it?
