I've seen the show a few times with Hugh already (all with rush tickets after the first time), and it was definitely worth seeing Max's take. If they put him on during Hugh's upcoming vacation, I highly recommend going then just to see how he does it. Also recommend going the rush ticket route - I strolled up to the Box Office at 11 am and there was no wait and I got a great seat for $49 (L 12).
For someone who asked earlier in the thread - there was at least one "break" moment that I noticed; it was during the scene when Harold Hill finally comes to call on Marian at her request. The performances I saw with Hugh all had a "break" moment during the library number, but that didn't happen tonight."
I was there last night as well. When I saw the show with Hugh, he "broke" in the exact same place and I had been wondering if it was scripted. When I saw Max last week, he didn't but then last night he did. So it must be an easy place to do that.
Is Hugh definitely back today?

Yes. The show is welcoming him back on all their socials.
Max is on tonight as Harold Hill. Anyone know why Hugh is out? Sutton has been out this week on vacation.

Hugh was scheduled to remotely join in a panel discussion with Laura Dern and the director of his new film at Deadline's "Contenders" panel between shows today, but he did not. Both the panel moderator and Laura Dern said it was because he had lost his voice. He was in today's matinee but didn't do the usual post-show BCEFA auction or come outside to greet fans.

I'm happy they're having Max go on again instead of cancelling, especially with Sutton out all of this week.

Lauren Blackman is playing Marion today opposite Max.
Caught the show again last night. I saw Max Clayton and Kathy Voytko individually before and it was a delight to see them together. Max was much more playful this time around. I initially saw Kathy the first time she went on and see was great under the circumstances. She has grown substantially in the role. It's still in the vein of Sutton's take, but the humor seems uniquely her own. Most notably, she is now singing "My White Night" in the original key which really allows her soprano to shine. I'm not sure if they made the change in light of Sutton's planned vacation, but it was lovely to see Max and Kathy make the show their own.

Got a rush ticket today - cannot wait to see Max again
Jealous. Any other weekend and I could have swung in to see him.

If Max is going on tomorrow night I'll be there.
I've been crossing my fingers that I'll get to see him on Wednesday afternoon.
I wonder with their holiday schedule this week if Hugh might opt to take off a show or two if his voice isn't 100%. I'd rush in if Max is going on for the Friday matinee.

It's almost 2 PM on Tuesday. I guess Hugh will be back on stage tonight.
The Music Man is on TKTS tonight, so I’m assuming Hugh is out.

Who else covers Harold Hill? Maybe they're getting a chance to go on tonight?
Telecharge lists that he is out tonight. Not sure if Max is going on or if someone else is.

Max hasn't posted anything on his IG, so maybe Sean Montgomery is getting a chance to go on?

Yeah, Max has always announced when he's been going on. Tonight he didn't post it on his IG. I'm going to assume he does the matinee tomorrow as I can't see Hugh coming back to do a two-show day.
