I've been meaning to see Mean Girls before COVID but i didn't get tickets yet. I've only seen the movie twice just to prepare for it. Should i see the tour or wait until regional?

We thought it was pretty solid when we saw it last year on tour.

I only saw the tour this past week in Los Angeles. I thought the whole thing was a very mediocre affair. Cast seemed bored and all the girls sounded very nasal. If I had gone alone I would have left at intermission because I was bored. My friends seemed to enjoy it a little more than I did. But we all agreed it was very forgetful and unnecessary.

Yes, it looks an overproduced college production. Nowhere to find the talent and spark in the Broadway production.

There’s a reason why it did not win a single Tony.

I saw it in Denver.
I really enjoyed the use of the video screens for the sets.
I do enjoy a completely unnecessary tap number.
I thought the show was just ... it was just fine. Nothing memorable. Nothing really jaw droppingly bad or anything that took my breath away. I was disappointed in "Sexy" - the actor has a wonderful voice, but it just didn't fit the performance. She hit the notes - but didn't sing the song. Indeed, that was sort of my reaction to the most of the cast's performances. My daughter accompanied me and she saw the OBC (cast and version) and thought this version was not as good. Of course, most of the audience seemed to really enjoy it.

This is why i truly believe the movie musical adaptation is 100% unnecessary

I saw the first tour stop in Buffalo in September 2019, then saw the tour in Toronto this past October. Didn't mind the show the first time around (big fan of Danielle Wade), but the second time it seemed like all the life was sucked out of it.
I did leave humming Apex Predator, but then would instantly switch to Nobody Does Mean Like Me from Submissions Only...why is a spoof song better then an actual song?

I saw this back in June after having seen it on Broadway in 2019. I thought Lindsay Heather Pearce was the standout in the tour company. It's a fun couple hours but also not very memorable. I wouldn't go out of my way to see it again but I might consider if it were local to me.

I’m not expecting something spectacular either. But I just think it’ll be fun. And the only reason I was open to it was for Casey Nicolaw after seeing his work on Aladdin.

I thought it was perfectly fine and enjoyable. Not a masterpiece by any means.
You asked specifically about the tour, and I thought the cast was pretty strong. Lindsay Heather Pearce, Eric Huffman, and Morgan Ashley Bryant were standouts.
