I kinda love Ben Platt wearing a suit with an homage to Sunday in the Park with George.

Jeff Bezos sponsored this. I don’t care what anyone was wearing. They were too shallow to boycott the event.
No thanks.

Seeing Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster together made me a vomit a bit in my mouth

What can one say about Ben, nothing really.
Hugh enough time hasn’t past.

I am happy to see that Sarah Paulson has not lost her sense of humor. I never thought Connor Storrie could look so matronly. I love Naomi Osaka’s outfit although the reveal is a little clunky. I am not getting bad bunny’s choice of attire, but I’m sure it will come to me later this evening.. Hudson Williams looks hot and Madonna gets the most creative award for her mournful nod to the Strait of Hormuz.

Not being able to escape the pictures from Met gala plastered all over major news websites, I realized this is the worst dressed gala edition I've ever seen. Gotta be the influence of Lauren Sanches who wore something straight off the Sears clearance rack. A feast in time of plague.

I can't with Luke Evans in the Tom of Finland. The man who went back in the closet in a failed attempt at an action star career...

Doesn't seem to have had as much presence from Broadway this year as in the past few.

This is not the first time Jeff Bezos has sponsored the Met Gala. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but Bezos didn't turn into the person he is now overnight. And I'm fairly certain that a significant percentage of those objecting to his involvement in the Met Gala are still Amazon Prime members. Protest a museum fundraiser? Absolutely! Give up two-day shipping? Absolutely not!

The man has like a dozen action flicks & other huge films in his filmography and has done quite well for himself, even if we disagree with his “journey”. Let’s not pretend that his film career is some “failed attempt” when he is financially better off than most of this board.
On another note - Joshua Henry opening with “I Wanna Dance With Somebody”. Something that seems wonderful in concept but just…kind of happened? Not sure how this ties into the Gala theme, but same could be said for half the attendees and exactly half of the co-chairs.

Ben Platt and Sarah Paulson looked great. It was wonderful seeing Joshua perform, it was the first time I have ever seen him look nervous, but he was fantastic. Hugh and Sutton looked great, obviously, but for theater artists they probably should have brushed up on the theme :)

He didn't actually. All of his own led action films have flopped and he settled into side roles. Im not saying he doesn't have a career, I'm saying he directly made a play for Straight Action Lead and then it didn't work so now he's rolling around in Queer **** after he made a pointed attempt to shelve it when he was well into his 30s.
