If I had plans to be in New York, I would definitely grab that box office offer.

Also could be titled "How our sets made our last two shows impossible to sustain financially!"
LOST BOYS: “How Two Tony-Winning Best Friends Will Thrill Broadway With The Lost Boys” by Broadway Direct’s Gordon Cox - ““Michael [Arden] and I do musicals that don’t really look like musicals,” [Dane] Laffrey says when asked to put that philosophy into words. “We don’t necessarily trade in that old-fashioned theatrical design with lots of flats and planes. We’re always trying to elevate or unlock the material to realize something that’s theatrically satisfying.””

A stage musical based on the cult vampire film The Lost Boys is officially moving forward, with Michael Arden set to direct. Arden, known for his work on acclaimed Broadway revivals, brings strong theatrical storytelling that many fans think could fit the film’s dark, rebellious tone. The music will be written by the indie folk band The Rescues, whose emotional style may give the story a fresh musical identity. The project aims to adapt the 1987 cult classic into a theatrical experience while keeping the spirit of teenage rebellion, supernatural drama, and iconic vampire mythology that made the original film so memorable.

The writers behind The Lost Boys Broadway show explain the resurgence of vampire musicals
Honestly, after some of the awful books we've had on Broadway over the past few years, I'm so excited to see what Chris Hoch and David Hornsby can do here (love his work in/writing It's Always Sunny)

The scenic design was the least of The Queen of Versailles’ issues; It was probably the only thing that worked. The show could’ve had a minimalist design and the show still would have closed just as quickly as it did.

Yeah the set was the only thing I was impressed by lol
I bet the set for The Lost Boys is incredible, just hoping the rest of the elements work in this one too!

The set and tech will probably be great. How could it not be with over 25 million (and growing) budget to play with ? It's the rest of it and the poor choice of band to bring the MUSICAL aspect to life.

Yeah, the music befuddles me. All the press I've seen makes it sound like this is some famous band? I had never heard of them and just looked them up and they have 3400 followers on Instagram. Not that followers is an indicator of the quality of their music, I'll let what they've released for the show speak for itself, but it seems strange to keep hyping them as if they are a thing.

Yeah that's weird, there are Twinks in Brooklyn with bigger followings. They've also not put out any original music in almost a decade...

It can't NOT hear the modern Christian sound of it now. Nothing we've heard sounds right for this. Nothing. How in the world did they land on THIS group to musicalize it ? All 3 lead producers are novices but who thought, THIS is the band ?
these lyrics.... wow....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlCwmIJn4cM Joe's Pub. It's awkward manipulative "everything's bad and hurts, poor us" music heavily cliched with basic rhymes.
