I can't manages "Patience," sadly...but I am certainly going to see him in "Woman In White." I've been waiting ages to see him live in anything.

WickedGeek, PATIENCE is a work by Gilbert and Sullivan, about two poets who are i n love with the same woman, 20 lovesick maidens who follow them both around and the soldiers who follow the ladies around

It is an operetta which is a satire on the celebrity cult in those times, likewise set in the Victorian era like THE WOMAN IN WHITE. I've read in the Howard Kissel article on Daily News that the character of Bunthorne was loosely based on Oscar Wilde.

Btw, proceeding from the link given by Kec, I followed the link to the merchandise for Patience. There's a cute one which says :

"LOVESICK MAIDENS" on a fuschia t-shirt.
