My mind registered that headline as Lea Michele cast as Madame Morrible and I was like W. T. F.

Posted: 6/24/15 at 2:43amI feel like Madeline Kahn would have been a shoo-in for this role if she was still with us.

I am so happy I'm not the only one. I did the same thing and I think it shorted out my brain for half a minute.

Put me down as another who thought it said Lea Michele. Maybe it's because we'd rather see her in anything other than FUNNY GIRL.

I saw her in the original SEESAW, and again in ALLERGIST'S WIFE. It's wonderful to know that this B'way veteran will have roles as long as she wants to perform here.

Lee returns to the theater she had one of her best roles in. Back than it was the Uris & the show was Seesaw. It was an entertaining show with a great Cy Coleman score & Tommy Tune dancing & Michael Bennett directing. The mind boggles as to what he could have done had he not died way to young.

Posted: 6/24/15 at 8:37amWhile I thankfully did not think this was Lea Michele (keep her away please!), I grew up loving Knots Landing and I also love Seesaw...getting to see her live might actually get me back to see Wicked which I said I would never do unless a friend or something got cast.

He accomplished plenty after SEESAW, Mr. Roxy.
Have you heard of A CHORUS LINE and DREAMGIRLS to name two blockbuster musical hits.
Your post reads as if Bennett passed away after SEESAW and he hadn't accomplished anything else beyond that.

I think Mr. Roxy's comment is pretty obviously not implying that.

I too am glad I wasn't the only one who made the error.
Someone needs to revive SEESAW or at least do it at Encores. Such an amazing score!!

Kathy Fitzgerald is perfect in the role and steals the show. See it while she is still there.

Michelle Lee also was a replacement in the first BW run of "How to $$$" and loved her as Rosemary in the movie version versus Robert Morse.
