I was thinking Annette Bening would be close to perfect in SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION. Perhaps with Jesse Williams, whom I could look at for hours.

Torch Song Trilogy would be AWESOME. I saw it twice during its initial B'way run. The understudy played the first time I saw it and Harvey the second time. I thought it played just fine with his understudy (who did NOT have the raspy cab driver voice).

Angels in America (both parts in rep or in consecutive seasons) - I was lucky to see the original B'way productions AND the recent Signature Theater production in rep a few winters ago.

Burn This - have never seen it but would LOVE to.

Dirty Blonde - one of my favorite "little" shows. Or even Claudie Shear in her one woman show "Blown Sideways Through Life". That girl is talented.

For a snarky response, how about Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, mainly because it has been all of 6 months since the last one (LOL) and it was produced a year before that on B'way as well.

The Six Degrees with Annette Bening suggestion is inspired.

I would personally love to see more Lanford Wilson, in particular Burn This, The Hot L Baltimore, Fifth of July... And thought it would certainly have to be way off-Broadway, I'd love to see some enterprising company bring back the one act The Madness of Lady Bright.

And after that astonishing production of The Castle that PTP/NYC just did, I desperately want to see more of Howard Barker's work which seems not to have made it stateside much.

THE SKRIKER

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

I would love to see Phylicia and Condola Rashad do 'Night Mother together. Or just something with both of them would be absolutely amazing.

Elizabeth Rex needs to finally be performed on Broadway with Diane D'Aquila's unbelievable performance.

Of course, it would be much easier to list great plays that need to be done on Broadway for the first time--Stephen Karam and Amy Herzog are both very deserving of Broadway productions.

Sara Ruhl's THE CLEAN HOUSE

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I have to echo the others who've said 'night Mother. What a little gem. I'd love to see a production starring Jessica Lange and Laura Linney.

Condola Rashad is a little young for 'night Mother. I like the idea of Laura Linney, but I'd pair her with Kelly Bishop.

"I would love to see Phylicia and Condola Rashad do 'Night Mother together."

It's a fascinating idea but I almost think having a real mother and daughter play that role would at least be flirting with major traumatic stress for both of them. It would arguably be cruel and unusual.
