Gay Gasp
A reprise of the Jack & Val side show...
Oh. My. Word. And we thought Bernadette and Elaine were inspired casting choices? This is the mother of all inspired casting choices!
OH MY GOD. Well, I know I'll be returning.
My office mates are probably wondering why I'm jumping up and down right now.
"Gay Gasp"
Exactly my though, JC.
best news of my week
Oh my God, Jack & Val were the best (Molly Shannon's "I wore your jockstrap as an oxygen mask all day" was priceless), I would love to be able to see this!
the link doesn't take me to the article, it's about her appearances on GLEE.
nevermind, found it on Playbill.com
With Shannon also scheduled to leave on the 26th makes it more believable it will close on that day.
This is wonderful news. I could actually see Jen Cody in the role as well.
AMAZING CASTING.
Someone who is not familiar with Molly Shannon, as I am from the UK, I take it by what has been posted so far this is very good news. I hope to see Promises, Promises again in November.

This makes me want a "Mary Katherine Gallagher Musical"
I also would love to see Amy Sedaris. Who knows if she can sing?

SUCH a good choice! I was thinking that no one could be as good in the role as Katie, but man I didn't even think about Molly. This is great!
Sweet jumpin jellybean, Amy Sedaris would be so fun as Marge! Good call!
Phantom of London: Molly Shannon joined SNL in the 90s and had a very memorable stint. She also did some work on Will & Grace as Val an insane neighbor of W&G, and also appeared more recently on Glee. Her talk show appearances are classic. We need more people like Molly Shannon. Go see if her sketch "Pet Show" is on YouTube. Another good SNL sketch was her "Leg Up!" with Molly playing Ann Miller to Cheri O'Teri's Debbie Reynolds. Of course Mary Catherine Gallagher is good times too.
I've missed the show my last 2 times in NYC and now will def get a ticket for this just after Thanksgiving...because I like to kick, and stretch...i'm FIFTY!!! (thats a Sally O' Mally reference for anyone who has no idea what im talking about)

I was not expecting this at all, but I love it!
I follow Chenoweth on Twitter and she said something a few weeks ago about Molly coming to the show and she hoped to see her again soon, but I didn't even put two and two together. GREAT casting!
I don't know how I missed this announcement. I got tickets to take my sister for her birthay and went to ibdb.com to see who was the Marge replacement. I was quite pleasantly surprised.

Does anyone know if Chenoweth has any time off planned?
