Having seen the show...I honestly believe that the Independent's critic might actually be clinically insane.

Did we even need reviews to tell us it's a travesty? :P
Lloyd Webber should just do himself a favor and re-work Woman in White. Best thing he ever wrote.
I really hope they think twice before they bring this hot mess to Broadway.
Sounds like ALW should have listened to his cat when it shredded the score the first time.

He should re-work the best thing he ever wrote, lol.
Best line from Brantley:
If you don’t know the first “Phantom,” you will be very confused; if you do know the first “Phantom,” you will also be very confused.
Is the Christine robot still a part of the show? It's not mentioned on the cast recording. Is it mentioned in dialogue that's not included on the CDs?
If the show gets mixed reviews it could still easily run for years.

The Times review is one of the funniest things I've read in a long time.
Spoiler....
Christine Dies.
(Now you don't have to see it.)
I hope ALW and Co. will take some of these reviews to heart and make some major changes before bringing this to Broadway.

How did Ben Brantley miss that the Phantom is called Mr. Y because he is a MISTERY- er, MYSTERY?!?!?!
OR DID I JUST BLOW HIS MIND?!

Charles Spencer has been one of the family since his son worked for ALW.
Enjolras, I loved that line too!
Lord Webber needs a hobby....aside from "writing" "musicals."
I thought that Webber was not one to do revisions. Furthermore, I don't know if that would matter. I say this because Webber and co have enough money that they can open up the Broadway production and still have it run for a good long while without having to worry about their wallets.

CATS, The NY Times review mentions it so I assume it is still in the show
I think "Phantasma" is my new favorite word!
Me too Dottie! I keep thinking "Phantasm"
