And did Spongebob announce any partnership with the Shuberts? I haven't found news of that, but I could certainly have missed it. I just keep wondering (and I'm not hoping it closes, just looking at grosses) if Kinky Boots might pack it in before Spring. Seems like it could be a fit.

Broadway In Chicago has a partnership with the Schuberts (at least they did), however On Your Feet is playing at a Nederlander theatre so I don't know if that is still happening

I've heard that Amelie is planning a spring opening in a theater that seats less than 1000. The Kerr sounds plausible, and I'd guess the Lyceum is possible as well unless it's booked and I missed it.
I don't think it's waiting for LA reviews. They were excellent at Berkely Rep so I think (to their credit) that they are simply working on trying to make it better. And Phillipa Soo was recently announced in the title role, right?

Bandstand apparently is no longer on track to open this season on Broadway, although "a Broadway opening is in its future." War Paint is expected at the Nederlander, Spongebob at the Marquis, and Amelie at the Walter Kerr after Falsettos closes. Of course, these are all JUST rumors.

Isn't Broadway Chicago owned by the Nederlander's? I know they did have a shubert theatre, but that is now the privatebank theatre

Yes, Broadway in Chicago is owned by Nederlander.
Also, just a note, there is no 'C' in Shubert. I don't know why its bothering me, but it is.

Are the Hudson, the Lyceum, and the Kerr now the only houses without announced tenants for the spring? It's a packed season for musicals, but I'm wondering what's going on with Amelie, SpongeBob, and Half Time.

The Lyceum now has one, but yes. I can only see Amelie making it in for spring 2017, at this point.

A source told me that Jordan Roth is trying to keep Falsettos open until June around the Tonys and Amelie is in negotiations for a different house

Oh yes, I keep forgetting about Studio 54. Unclear if Roundabout is renting it out, or what.

Oh, that would be fantastic! I would love to be able to see that but won't be back in the US/NY until May or June.

^If that's true, can we please have Bryce Pinkham play Marvin? He is free a week after the show is currently due to end because Holiday Inn is closing Jan 15th.

Come From Away has already announced the Schoenfeld, why would they want to switch to the Belasco?

I would love for that to be true. They've been doing great business, too, so it'd be great if they could make some kind of extension happen.

Damn, this was surprising news. It almost seems like the gods of comedy and tragedy want to cram as many new shows in as possible to make the Tonys more suspenseful than they were during Hamilseason!
