Thanks...have they already done workshops?? If so, who are some of the performers?

London has just announced its major 2008 revival of West Side Story
A young actress with Noel coward after a dreadful opening night performance said to him 'Well, i knew my lines backwards this morning!''
Noels fast reply was ''Yes dear, and thats exactly how you said them tonight'!'

I wonder if Trevor Nunn's reduced Porgy & Bess still has a chance to come over.

I didn't know it was coming to London again...is it still coming to Broadway too?

Huh? When I said come over, I meant come over TO America FROM London, where it played (and according to last reports, is still planned for sometime next year). It hasn't been here yet at all and I have NO IDEA if its going to London AGAIN.
Also, if Tale of Two Cities doesn't make it in by May, I guess it might possibly be part of next season.

When is the Guys and Dolls revival scheduled to open? And whatever happened to the idea of creating The First Wives Club into a musical? And wasn't there a message on here with an article saying that Aladdin was in the works for an 08-09 opening?

A revival of MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG is in the works for next season.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

That doesn't surprise me about Porgy. I know it didn't sell particularly well in the West End. That's OK. While it's one of my favorite scores/shows, I am used to seeing it in its full opera house dimensions, with a 50+ piece orchestra and a cast and chorus of over 100. I was frankly a little worried how much the show would lose in such a scaled back form, anyway. Hopefully, the Met will add it back its repertoire sometime soon during one of its upcoming seasons -- it's a truly epic-sized production that gives the brilliant material the treatment that it deserves.

I think the Revival of Merrily We Roll Along is supposed to be in 09-10 season, but I could be wrong.
The Wiz should be on Broadway next year.

Not on Broadway, but Bounce.

Obviously, I loved that production of Cabaret, but why it's coming back so soon, I'll never know... I thought they were Lort so that they would try new things.
