She usually does and is very friendly. At least, that has been my experiences.

She did when I saw Little Foxes a couple seasons ago. It was a matinee too.

My rush seat was Mezzanine Row E Seat 103.
Linney was good (not amazing).
The play itself was a complete and total bore, and a waste of time.
Snoozefest.

I really want to see this show when I’m in town next week...have an extra slot on January 18 @ 2pm. How fast do the rush tickets sell? Never tried rush before!

Anyone else seen this show? Is it really that boring as some have said? I love Laura Linney and I was considering catching this next week but am now having second thoughts. Any care to share their reactions to the previews? Thanks.

This is opening in five days and so far we have ONE poster who's actually seen a preview. Are there any other reactions out there?

Maybe they're doing the exact same thing you're doing, waiting for OTHER people to go to help them decide whether to see it.

I almost went but hate solo shows so passed.

Our two rush tickets were mezzanine D 2/4 on aisle. Good unobstructed view though far back.

Posted: 1/14/20 at 8:47pmThis is one of those cases where even one of the best actors out there can’t save the day. This play is just an epic bore of colossal proportions. I didn’t care about the character of Lucy Barton at all, which is a problem considering this is a one woman show. This has nothing to do with Laura Linney, who did the best she could with material that makes watching paint dry sound exciting. This just didn’t do it for me. At all.

What makes it so boring? Too long? Lack of a compelling arc? Weak plot?

I liked it but it's very over-written, a bit slow, and I guess I didn't care about Lucy Barton much either but Laura Linney is her usual fantastic self.

A bit slow? This is the slowest, most boring 90 minutes of the theatre season. I can only imagine all the snoring happening at the matinees with the MTC subscription base.

Posted: 1/27/20 at 10:31pmI am absolutely fascinated that people found this boring. I mean it’s not a Transformers film and there’s no explosions but I saw this tonight and damn, I thought it was remarkable.

I'm in the camp that found this utterly boring and entirely pointless. I'm slightly biased in that I hate when shows are predominately narration, but my personal taste aside, it also raises the question of why they bothered turning this into a stage play if they were just going to treat it like an audiobook. The few attempts at genuine theatricality fell very flat for me.
EDIT: and just to be clear, when I say “theatricality,” I don’t mean explosions or grandness or heavy action. I just mean a dramaturgical purpose for existing in the form of a stage play.
