"Interior-songolgue" is some pretty damn fine neologism coinage, Rachel Shukert. We also enjoyed the Ben Rimalower name droppage.
TxTwoStep---The choreography is kinda similar I must agree. Also, we have yet to see Megan Hilty dance on this show. Every time she is performing she's always just getting tossed all over the place.

I know nothing on this show makes sense, but I was just thinking of how absolutely ridiculous the whole bartender thing is. Puh lease. Bartender starts flirting with woman (and we don't know why). Bartender decides to get hundreds of thousands for her, from his rich rocker friend who literally says "I do not need the money." Then woman accepts money on the spot and bartender kisses her.
Maybe to some people, this plotline makes sense but for me it might just take first place for the stupidest thing I ever saw. More laughable than anything else I saw on that show! OYOYOY
sorry, i also didn't count the Finale of THREE ON A MATCH as "an original song" either.

That bartender and Frank N Furter have to launder their illegally gotten money somewhere.
Namo, if that's the plan, then the stupidity isn't as stupid as I thought. But I still had to cringe at the kiss.

They're setting the stage for a scandal of Drabinsky-esque proportions.
Maybe Garth can produce Bombsmell from jail.
i don't get why they demonized the investors. they were putting a lot of money into a mess of a show. they ask for a meeting with the star... the producer feels vindictive and burns their contracts in the basement of a bar.
the problem with this show is the same as many a show, book, movie, etc. especially when there is a series. we come to know and think we understand a character and then the writers need to fill space, so they make the character do as many things as possible. when those things end up being crazy, ridiculous and STILL predictable, the viewer loses all connections with that character and cuts ties.
for me, it's already happened with ivy, deborah messing, anjelica huston, ellis, and the director. i am basically just watching the show for the (original) songs, which i think are actually quite good. the show itself is crap.
Assuming those were 20's and 10's, that was about $50K.
Not sure how much time $50K would buy you.
And nice of them to tease Uma for the past two weeks and we get what, one line out of her?
I expect we've seen all of her lines from next week in the preview.

I had a ton of homework on Monday and Tuesday so I was not able to watch the show until today. I really enjoyed the musical number that Borle did, plus I think Hilty did a pretty good job with singing "Breakaway". Of course it is extremely difficult to top Kelly Clarkson's version. I also thought it was great to see Terrence Mann on the show.
reminds me a bit of her number in Batman & Robin (where she was Poison Ivy) except better surrounding choreo. Was she dubbed in PRODUCERS THE MOVIE?

TX, you've ripped a hole in the time/space continuum.
Uma didn't even do her own dancing in the film. She had a lovely woman named Angie doing all of the hard stuff...
reminds me a bit of her number in Batman & Robin (where she was Poison Ivy) except better surrounding choreo.
And THAT scene from Batman & Robin was directly ripped off from Dietrich's Hot Voodoo number in Blonde Venus!
It seems that she is dancing badly on purpose as to show that she is not right for the role. If you take a closer look at the clip they focus a lot on how slow her feet and how awkward she is.
Now that Uma is on the show...doesn't this mean that they will be performing that Bollywood number they mentioned back in February in one of the coming episodes?
The problem with the show, in a nutshell, is that it never allows any of the character's to be as cute and charming as McPhee and Davenport are in this interview. It lacks an authentic humanity.

The biggest problem with the show IMO is Anjelica Huston as the producer. The throwing the martini in her ex husband's face got old real quick and this latest stunt was very lame. If you were a real producer, you would never do that to investors because there may be another show some day you might need to raise money for.She has now just lost these people as potential investors because of your child like actions.

I can't even enjoy the new number because of how badly Uma Thurman sings it in that clip BWW posted.
Call me crazy, but I enjoyed that clip with Thurman (even though, again, BOMBSHELL appears to be nothing but super specific and non-narrative production number after production number.) Her character isn't supposed to set the stage on fire. They make it a point to say she's never done live theater, and I'm sure her potential for being ill-equipped to handle the show is going to be a plot point as her arc continues.
Say what you will, but she sure has a hell of a lot of star quality, which is more than I could say for either of her predecessors in the role of Marilyn.
In an earlier episode Karen asked "Will numbers be on the stage when get to a theatre" and someone replied "Yes Iowa". What numbers what she talking about?
On the front of most stages there are numbers. Center Stage is 0, and then it there is a 1 on both sides of it (anywhere from a few inches to a foot away, though it could be a little more), then a 2, then a 3, etc etc.
