Much of it is what has already been stated, but it gives us more insight into the Lyric, how previews in the Lyric will be, the development of the play, etc.
I don't think she needs to worry about the show not doing well here. With that said, I am not sure it will run more than maybe six years. I could be wrong. Hope I am!
Really, uncageg? I'd say they have at least 10 years, if not more. It's nearly sold out a year in advance. Sure, maybe they'll have to lower prices eventually, but I'd say for sure more than six years.
As kids grow up, and continue to be exposed to the original Harry Potter books and movies, they’ll want to know what happens next. I suspect it will run for a very long time.

I don't recall that being her concern. More about ensuring it captures the magic and such of the story she wants to tell...
Very interesting to learn that ATG paid for the theatre's renovation! That takes a pretty huge dent out of what might otherwise have been the show's recoupment cost.
Also interesting to hear that ATG basically paid Cirque to move out PARAMOUR.
CT2NYC, I hope that happens!
Haterobics, I made that comment based on hers that "Broadway is a scary place" and yes, maybe she is worried about how we will receive it.
I personally can't wait. Took a day off to see it.
I don't see this running less than fifteen years at least.
I didn't realise the theatre had been so dramatically reduced in capacity. I always assumed this theatre was intentional so they could pack as many sardines in as possible.

This isn't new. That information was disclosed when the announced the Lyric. The Shuberts, Nederlanders, and Jujamcyn were all prepared to bear the cost of clearing any of their theaters for Harry Potter. This is the closest to a "sure thing" as you can get. They were all also prepared to bear the costs of any renovations or work to accommodate the production.
As long as freeform keeps having Harry Potter weekends, cursed child will be running.

Exactly. HBO has marathons all the time, too.
You can watch the movies through on demand on HBO. I am starting them tonight! Watched the final film a week ago when they aired it.
Freeform is done with Harry Potter. HBO has the rights now. Previously, HBO only had Order of the Pheonix and Freeform would skip that one.
