Nine hundred thirty thousand, one hundred eighty minutes.
That’s how you measure the total running time “Rent” will have played on Broadway when, as the producers said on Tuesday, it closes after its evening performance on June 1, making it the seventh-longest-running Broadway show in history.
Story here.......
The opposite of creation isn't war, it's stagnation.

Yes..maybe you missed my last post that said "offical word". But then again, it's much more fun to bitch about how no one knows the inside story.
Glad I could break it for ya.

Annak...If you spend your life waiting for a "link" to some press release, then you will be behind everyone else.
Les Miz revival...Usher in Chicago...O'Hara in SP...Sheri in LM...some of the things I broke here on BWW. As an industry person, I know what's going on.
Feel free to to believe it or not. Don't really care.
And Phyllis....Since you're an industry insider, why don't you feel free to share with us. Hmmm....
re: NYTimes confirms: Rent Closing#13
Posted: 1/15/08 at 11:20pmI will miss it, but I think its time.

I'm not insulting you, but I do happen to like to have things official before I believe them. Silly me. Being behind everyone else doesn't much bother me. If you don't really care, there was no need to bring it back up.
At any rate, no mo Rent.
re: NYTimes confirms: Rent Closing#18
Posted: 1/15/08 at 11:23pmI kind of figured this was coming when they announced the closing of the "official" online community.

Posted: 1/15/08 at 11:26pmLaugh as you may, I just died a little inside. I've wanted for a large majority of my life to see 'the musical that got me into musicals" on Broadway, and now it's not gonna happen.
It was awesome. - theaterkid1015

ugh,...aren't they almost 40?
they were old for the movie...and too old to tour.
it doesn't need to be another ted Neely moment for them.
let's all get over it already.
