The official closing campaign will be "___,____ minutes until the end of an era."
I think it will work...
I am, and continue to be, a Rent fan. It is a very special show to me and I count myself fortunate to have seen it the few times I have. It had a great run. :)

I think
"It's over,. It's over. It's Over.
,.....
it's OVER"
is better
I keep wishing I could tell myself this is some sort of sick unreality... and have that be true. The show has had an amazing run, and has been the source of so much joy and love in my life. I'll be thankful for that forever. But it is for that reason that this is so difficult and sad.

Rent is the best movie ever can't wait to see it on stage and dvd.... ReNt ...
Rent is the best movie ever
Yeah, like totally...I was going to say Crossroads with Britney is the best movie ever, but , yeah.,Rent.yeah.
Emcee,
I agree and am right there with you. I have heard people get upset when a show they love closes but never experienced it myself.
I literally started to cry when I read the article from the times. I haven't felt this shocked since I heard that my grandfather passed away last year. Just wanting it to not be true. But, it is.
Can a cleaned up production of "Bright Lights, Big City" with a strong book-writer and lots of revisions take the Neder? Pretty please?

just bought my ticket.
This show was the show that helped me come out.
I cried when I read the article. I have no problem admitting that.
This is far from my first time in this position, but it never gets easier. At least the past few times, I saw it coming.
Oh. My. God. Where the hell did that come from?
Same here, Emcee.

Emcee, i JUST stopped crying 10 minutes ago. Sleep is almost impossible now, though I will admit that the time has kind of come...
I knew it was coming eventually, but it's still somehow a shock.

i'm not moved.
there's always spring awakening.
and any other blah blah ranty noise rock musical that saves money on costumes, sets and production to make a big buck.
they had a good run.
i'm over it.
but then again. i'll probably tear a little the night it happens.

I remember the night Jonathan Larson died, as if it were yesterday, but it would have been 12 years ago next week.

Well, I didn't cry, but I am kind of bummed. Especially since this was like the first show I was obsessed with that became my musical theatre gateway drug. Huh.
I look forward to the Les Mis-esque-kind-of-revival-but-not-really-one three or so years from now, though.

Craaw, you are one strange dude, but it's sweet that you have a crush on me.
I miss ReNT.
Will you lose your dignity? Will someone care?

I lost my dignity at ReNT once. He never called me!
Nice, Phyllis.
It was only a matter of time. Cheers to all the performers of the show. Past and Present.

I'm a lady. Since you're convinced I don't accept criticism against Rent, it should be no surprise to see me posting on the thread about its closing.
I think its been time for a while... Rent's lost its dignity...
