Excited?
Anyone, anyone?!

Is it official?
At least I won't need a Tylenol PM that night.
The Tonys needs a stand-up comedian. Same with the Oscars.
Get Rosie O'Donnell. Whoopi Goldberg. Bette Midler. Robin Williams. Billy Crystal. Kathy Griffin. Rosie O'Donnell.
Sean Hayes and Neil Patrick Harris are funny, but they have little-to-no stand-up comedy experience. Let a stand-up comic take the stage and GIVE THEM AIR-TIME and you'll have an entertaining show.

When did Bette Midler become a stand-up comedian?
Exactly. I hope they get Robin Williams. He'd be so perfect.
Rosie O'Donnell is not the host she once was.
I disagree. Rosie is still a fantastic, loveable host...as long as she isn't on The View...
Bette Midler did some stand-up waaaaayyy back in the start of her career. I have a routine she did on some TV show recorded on a VHS somewhere...

ROSIE is the best host choice..
she is funny and is still THEE best host out there...
No one has a greater love for theater then Rosie.... not to mention all that she has done for the theater community.
She is excited about theater... and it shows when she hosts.
Rosie is still amazing, Joan Rivers and Kathy G would be great too. Whoopi on the other hand, sucked in my humble opinion. But Neil Patrick Harris is my favorite.
Yeah, too bad very few people care about her anymore.
Lots of people care about her. I love her radio show. Listen to it every day. Very excited about her new talk show this September.
NPH will be a great host as he has been in the past. I just hope they pepper the broadcast with all these celebs they have access to this year. God knows they should try to get some ratings.. and for goodness sake... HIRE A GOOD SOUND GUY!
I think all awards shows need a touch of unpredictability and saltiness (i.e., Ricky Gervais and the Hollywood Foreign Press), so my pick is definitely Kathy Griffin.
I was hoping for either Robin Williams or Whoopi Goldberg. Although, I do secretly wish they could get Stephen Colbert to host.
Only if Amy Sedaris can cohost with him.
Given the controversy that surrounded Rosie's tenure on The View, I doubt the Tonys are scrambling to get her to host. Personally, I'd be fine with Whoopi- I though she did a great job a few years back.
Whoopi can be hilarious...when allowed. And she'll do anything. Put her in the crab costume, she don't care! Put her in a swing and drop her down from the top of the Kodak Theater, she's down. She's done white-face, too.
She's the definition of a fearless performer.
I would much prefer Whoopi or classic Rosie. God how I miss her.
Is it just me or does anyone else find NPH the most vanilla, homogenized white bread host ever. I'm not saying he's not a talented man, but I find him a snoozefest. No edge.

Harris did a good job when he hosted- he sang that Marc Shaiman song about how gay it all was. I thought Whoopi's bit of dropping into each show a little tired.
Frankly I don't really care who hosts.
And Bette Midler is not a stand-up comic. She recorded a comedy album that proved that fact indisputably.
Who wouldn't love to see Liza host?! It would be...amazing.
