re: New Fame Trailer

I can't help but think this is just going to be a cluster**** of terrible.

re: New Fame Trailer

didn't really care for that trailer. I'm pulling for it to be a good movie, but I have my doubts.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I'm not crazy about the new version/arrangement of the theme song.

Yeah, I am not too fond of the new arrangement of the title song, but other than that, I am excited for this :)

re: New Fame Trailer

After watching the trailer, I have lost all hope that this will be any good. I am such a huge fan of the original Fame movie.

re: New Fame Trailer

Loved the top of the trailer with the recreation of the original's Out Here On My Own - the 360 has always been a favorite movie moment of mine. Then, well, hmmmm, we'll have to wait and see, I suppose . . .

re: New Fame Trailer

The 1st half of the trailer is great with Out Here On My Own, you watch it going 'yes, they get it, they aint gonna ruin it' but then the 2nd half of the trailer kicks in, the Fame song sounds awful, the whole point of that song is that its supposed to be a high energy celebration, that sounds flat as hell

This will have none of the grit or realism of the original, it will be high school musical meets step up.

Someone ought to tell that little girl playing the piano to be careful of strange men promising auditions in restaurants...

re: New Fame Trailer

Wow, based on less than one minute and thirty seconds of a trailer, one of you has lost hope that the film will be good, and another has prophesied (twice) that it will have none of the grit or realism of the original (the original had realism and grit - who knew?).

I wasn't a fan of the original, really, but I think I'll give this one a chance, if for no other reason than to see ACL's Paul McGill in it.

re: New Fame Trailer

I liked Coco's voice...but boy....could she shake her head MORE while singing?

The change in FAME didn't bother me so much...time will tell, but I don't have high hopes.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

re: New Fame Trailer

I think I saw a little bit of something that may or may not be "Hot Lunch"...which (for me, after "Out Here on my Own") is the best part of the original film.

I'm such a huge fan of the original, I hope they don't eff this up.
