1. Idina isn't really a concert artist in the way some of the others on the list are.
2. SHe doesn't need to be on every list.

YOU don't. I do. And I don't think anyone on that list is "10 times more talented than she is," ESPECIALLY in concert.
To each his own. The point is a lot of people WILL probably have her in mind.

Or because Menzel is an incredibly talented singer/songwriter in her own right...a brilliant artist at that who puts on concert that make you cry or laugh until you cry. It has NOTHING to do with having no respect for the past--or at least not in my case. I am very well aware of the talents of all of the talented performers on that list, and I won't be talked down to like a little tween simply because I prefer something different. I'd rather see Menzel in concert.

Posted: 8/14/05 at 1:13pmI think they meant performers who do a majority of their concert singing theatre type songs. Menzel doesn't do that, so she doesn't really qualify. They also obviously chose performers who have a long history doing concerts, which Menzel does not have. She's done a few concerts, mostly of rock type songs.

I'm still sticking to my pick, and you all know who it is. Writing music is a huge part of his professional persona, so I stick to it - and hey, those concerts DO include theatre music.
(And Idina's just too young to have a "long history."

well I had to add in another 'other' for Idina, or Kristin Chenoweth - I'd kill to see either in concert 
and plus I couldnt really vote for anyone ON the list because there's no one there I'd really actually WANT to see...and I decided against picking Anthony because I've already seen him this year.
