Says the person who says "It got raves and a love letter by the times. It's definitely getting in"
how do YOU know its definitely getting in. I have never said anything like this show is getting this and this show is getting this. I say things like "i doubt" and "probably." These are only my PREDICTIONS. If you don't like them, oh well!
Obviously it's way too early to tell, but I think Jill Paice is not only likely to be nominated, but may very well win best featured actress in a musical for An American in Paris. I saw it in December, and she is fabulous. Of course politics play into these awards, but I think that's likely to help her more than hurt her. I'm not going to post a full list, but I wanted to mention her as she has been excluded from the other predictions and I want to be on record so that I can come back in June and say I told you so.

"its called a prediction, hater, which i backed up with facts and explained myself. Go back and re-read all of my posts about the musical revivals of the season."
OK, but why are your predictions fine to post, but when a contrary one is proffered, you are writing WRONG and such as a reply?! That is the ridiculous part to me.
Well, to be fair, the reduction of theater to who will, can, and should win a Tony Award is actually the most ridiculous thing, but that ship has sailed for most.
"Play (these are major guesses since I'm not as familiar with them): Airline Highway The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime Fish in the Dark Skylight Wolfhall parts 1 and 2
Revival/Play: Constellations Heidi Chronicles It's Only a Play You Can't Take it With You"
Constellations is a new play while Skylight is actually a revival!
Why are people predicting four nominees for Best Musical Revival. Based on the rules, it may only be three (it could be four). I count only five musical revivals (Side Show, On The Town, On the 20th Century, Gigi and King and I). The rules state:
2(j)(ii)(B)Where there are five or fewer eligible shows in a Best Show category, at the Tony Nominating Meeting, the Nominating Committee will be instructed to cast one vote each for three eligible shows as nominees on his/her secret ballot. Such ballot shall be collected and tabulated by a representative of the Accounting Firm. The three eligible shows with the highest number of votes will automatically be designated as the nominees in such category. A fourth nominee shall be added to the category in the event that the Accounting Firm determines that the difference in votes between the third highest-ranked show and the fourth highest-ranked show is three votes or less.
^So did the old rule of having to fill out all four slots no matter what change? Such as the cases with The Threepenny Opera, Grease, and Guys & Dolls getting nominations within recent years despite what the critics actually thought of them.
I'm a freshmen in college... College kids aren't in the biz? WRONG! And Bilbo3, you supposedly just joined 2 days ago, how do you already know the things I've said on here months ago?? Hmmm
WRONG! Maybe because you are reading my words, and don't actually hear the inflection in which they are being said in my head! Thats half of the problem with these message boards...someone says one thing and it can easily be taken the wrong way !
Philly, just stop. Step away from the computer and take a breather. You are being very rude. The others have explained why you are immature and you should take it into consideration and then come back with a changed attitude.
Anyway. Back on topic. I'm a little surprised I'm not seeing Finding Neverland on many of these predictions. It's a really nice show and I think audiences will eat it up (If Harvey doesn't kill it).
Countdown til Jordan comes on raging about how much loves me! 3..2..1...
yeah i know, but when someone is gonna make an account 2 days ago and claim that i told him something; something I said a while ago, that is seriously creepy
It's not creepy because an account deletion happened so I made a new one and all the other board members are aware of that. Claim? You did say it. You said you were an industry member. Of course, I'm talking to the child who thinks bisexuality doesn't exist so why am I even bothering.
