Phillypinto - just stop. Really. People in the industry (and those who have been in the industry longer than you've been alive) peruse and post on these boards. You are potentially damaging your future career. If you act this way in real life, you are also potentially damaging your future career. You do know that the internet never forgets. If you stop, others will stop. Just post your opinions - defend them as opinions - and then move on.
On topic - I have no predictions, because I have no idea how the nominating committee thinks. And a prediction has to based on what the nominating committee thinks and not on what I may like/dislike. For revival, e.g. - does the committee think about affect on ticket sales? For plays, e.g. - are there too many British imports? Are Disgraced and Hand to God too potentially controversial? For new musicals - well, too many are left to open! At this point, nothing would surprise me!
Phillypinto, no one has argued with you about your predictions, but you've attacked the predictions of anyone with whom yours are at odds, calling others' predictions "WRONG" and marking your posts with lots of "lols," while also resorting to name-calling. You posted on the first page of this thread, “they don't disagree with me, i disagree with them lol.” Stop looking to pick fights with people. It's unbecoming - even on a message board!
LOLOL so because i say "lol" I'm attacking people? When i said "they don't disagree with me, i disagree with them lol," I said that because its TRUE! I called Bilbo3 a creepy idiot because he is one. Seriously, I'm not looking to start any fights, if it comes off that way, then oh well! Why the heck do you even CARE what i say????
"I'm not looking to start any fights, if it comes off that way, then oh well!"
Most people, and I realize this has never been the case with you on here in the past, would take a lack of comprehension by others as a moment to rethink how they present themselves. Not as a moment to double down and push the issue of your incomprehension onto others as their problem.
If none of you actually cared, you wouldn't be wasting your time trying to bitch at me! Im just trying to talk about the tonys so why don't you go **** yourself :)
Does anyone think Micah Stock has a decent shot at Featured Actor in a Play for "It's Only A Play"?
Also, assuming Tony Danza and Rob McClure are both eligible for Leading Actor in a Musical (which I think will be the case), Danza doesn't stand a chance at a nomination. No one from the nominating committee is going to write down two men from HinV in the same category and McClure would easily win out. From what we've seen so far he absolutely deserves it too. It's kinda too bad Danza couldn't be Featured where he might have a shot at a nom.
I would love if Micah Stock got a nom! He was the best part of that show by far.
Rob McClure deserves a nom so much. Is Danza definitely in lead actor? Is it too late to campaign to be in featured? That would give him a much better shot and he didn't seem lead to me. (He should also have 2 fewer ballads ffs.)
Carolee's role in Neverland is VERY small, not even a real chance of a nomination. Grammer has a better shot probably, but I think Morrison and Laura Michelle Kelly are realistically the best chances for acting nominations.
Her name is above, but what gets me is that Lisa Howard's name is on top too. I know who she is from Spelling Bee.. but I can't imagine lots of other people knowing who she is.
