Tomorrow, we to original icons of the American Theatre before they head West. Cole Escola, Conrad Ricamora, James Scully, and Peter Smith—you’re the best day we’ve ever had.
Also, isn’t the phrase ‘going west’ a reference to the time period of the show? Like the whole westward expansion of the country and settlers moving to find gold?
In our millions, in our billions, we are most powerful when we stand together. TW4C unwaveringly joins the worldwide masses, for we know our liberation is inseparably bound.

Eh, vaguely. There is no direct reference and the gold rush happened roughly 15 years before the action in the play. Also, I don’t think any inference to actual history, characters aside, is intentional.
Re: a West Coast production - there have been talks for one later in the year with Cole. Other cast pending but not likely to include Conrad. They have already had multiple rounds of auditions for replacements and offers are out

I figured the show, with Cole, would do a west coast run somewhere after it closed on Bway.
