i read in the tarzan playbill that They were planning something called "The Man In The Ceiling" with an original book by Juled Feiffer and composer Andrew Lippa. Don't know what it is about.
You're right. After I saw your post, I remembered hearing something about this. I find this so much more exciting than the potential for a rehash of something already heavily associated with Disney.
I would love to see Hercules, I wonder how they would do all of Herc's battles with "larger than life" creatures, though. Well, if anyone can do it, Disney can!
I find it funny that Pocahontas and The Lion King were being made at the same time, and Disney execs thought Lion King was the clunker and that Pocahontas would be the new hit...jokes on them! (I do love Pocahontas, though!)
For me, I'm just interested in seeing how The Little Mermaid is going to work. I love the movie and everything, but I'm a little unsure if the transition from movie to the stage you know? But Hunchback defiantly recieves a vote from moi
Your aspirations are your possibilities-Samuel Johnson (and a little help from nomdeplume)
You know, I'd also like to see them craft an original fairy-tale musical for the stage (there's supposed to be an Alan Menken-composed version of The Snow Queen hitting Tokyo Disneyland; maybe it'll come to Broadway too) and then, if it's successful, animate it and bring it to the screen. Sort of a reverse process of what they usually do.
