I didn't see it Off-Broadway, and most of the commentary I've heard included the word "cliche."

If anything, Yankee, the acting is top-notch. If it weren't they wouldn't have transferred the entire cast of no-names.

The only thing cliche about the play is the premises, which, though a conceit, advances the plot effectively. Otherwise, the writing is quite earnest and human...and the ensemble is simply splendid.

I really didn't find anything about the show cliche. I thought it was original and, above all, very honest and real.

I look forward to going to see this show and having the opportunity to form my own opinion.
What I have read about it sounds incredibly intriguing.

I agree with WickedRocks. the premise set up sounds cliche and then it sort of twists it up from there and becomes far more intelligent and moving than you would think based on the quick byline. I loved it Off-Bway and I'm so glad the original cast is transferring!
