Posted: 7/2/10 at 7:16pmA friend of mine said she heard that Next Fall has suspended student rush for the final weekend. I was planning on doing rush tomorrow. Does anyone know if this is true?

Posted: 7/2/10 at 8:30pmIf that's true the producers must really be desperate to minimize the loss. I have a friend who lives down the block from the theater - I'll ask him if he knows anything about it.

I don't see how this helps the producers. If the show isn't selling out and they have people willing to pay $26.50 for a seat. Wouldn't they rather sell it for $26.50 than make nothing on the seat and have it left empty.
I could understand them suspending rush if they were selling or close to selling out but as we know with Next fall that is clearly not the case.
Also not to mention the rear mezz is still $80

Posted: 7/3/10 at 3:19pmI went yesterday before 6 PM and the guy said there wouldn't be rush for the evening. When I asked about the rest of the weekend, he said it was unlikely that there would be rush.

Well, screw them. :) Was thinking of coming in tonight or tomorrow to try for it, but I will pass now.
The ambivalence I - and surely others - have had about seeing it is probably a root cause for the closing.

Posted: 7/3/10 at 5:12pmThey are not doing rush but they are selling partial view in the orchestra (which are just fine) for the same price.

Posted: 7/4/10 at 1:41am^ Yes! I went again this evening and asked about rush. The guy said that there was no rush, but there were partial view seats. I got a pair (they said rush on them just as they did when I rushed the second week of the run).
