Those 3 aren't even enough to fill out a Best Play category. That's all I'm saying. Not talking about quality.

Side note: That musical preview on NERDS is awful.

The little copyright symbol at the bottom of the Nerds website says 2014, and their social media platforms haven't been touched in 40 billion years. Strongly doubt that's coming anytime soon.

I thought the website was well-designed, but boring. And Concierge is right, those social media pages are barren. Instagram's last post is from 64 weeks ago. Their Twitter, Facebook and Youtube pages have never been used at all. But I'd never heard of this musical until tonight so who cares I guess lol

hearing Lazarus might be the winning answer here.

It will not be Nerds and if it is, expect the shortest run of the season.

That musical preview is the worst thing to ever happen to musical theatre...if that's the best they have I sincerely hope this show never sees the light of day.

According to the Nerds, the Musical facebook, their address is listed as 220 W. 48th Street, which is the address of the Longacre Theater. Guess they'll be making an announcement shortly.

I don't know what is next for the Longacre, but I saw Nerds at 54 Below last year and can share my report. The lyrics are hilarious. It's How To Succeed for Silicon Valley. The score is really strong and the book scenes they did had the audience roaring. I loved the show and I do not like anything.

Why would any producer think that Nerds would be successful? No offense; but if audiences disregard an excellent and serious movie about Steve Jobs recently (even though I know it's not just about him) why would they go and see a campy, silly parody of the events of Silicon Valley.

The Nerds The Musical facebook page has other indications of "something happening". It's not just the address. https://www.facebook.com/nerdsmusical/
Since I know nothing of the musical, I will refrain from judging it. For now.

It seems that if you click through to Richard Flashenberg's page, the man who gave the show a 5-star review in December 2015 (the pages only review), he has worked/produced other theater ventures. Or at least was in some way involved. Interesting.

With the passing of Bowie, do we think Lazarus might swoop in?

Having seen Lazarus on Saturday night (and loving it), I have to say it would be a MAJOR mistake if it moved to Broadway. In a larger house it would lose all of its character and intimacy, and honestly I don't see it succeeding on Broadway because it wouldn't find an audience. It just isn't made for the masses, and it would (probably) close very soon after it opened. Imagine someone trying to analyze the show and pick up on what is going on all the way from the balcony at the Longacre? That would be a disaster.

I don't know about that. I would agree with you that the intimacy would be lost in a bigger house (hey, people said that about "Once," too) but with a cast & creative team behind it such as this one, the show is screaming for a more permanent run. I don't know if it belongs on Broadway, per say, but it belongs somewhere in New York for a longer period of time than it is receiving currently.

I get what you're saying. What I would say would probably be the "best" for the show's future is to transfer to a slightly larger commercial off-Broadway theatre, run some advertising ads, and have an open run and that would probably be much better in the long-term than moving to Broadway and possibly having a much shorter life than it should. It really is a great show and needs to be placed properly.

What about a place like Barrow Street Theater?

I just looked at your profile and the last thing you insisted was that Allegiance wasn't closing. So.
