Well, obviously her teeth are a good basis for any real discussion regarding her talent. Well done.
Apparently not distracting enough to stop her from winning a Tony Award for her performance in RABBIT HOLE. Did you even see it, B3TA07?
You can't see "teeth" on stage. You can in a movie.
Well her "teeth" didn't stop her from winning an Emmy Award for her performance on SEX & THE CITY.
That was on a small screen. You can only see half teeth on tv.

Ahh, now it all makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up.
I'm sure however it it were a British film production company, her teeth would not be an issue.
munk, she won that Oscar for Shakespeare in Love.
It all evens out.
I know she did, Rath - but I like to pretend that that one didn't happen.
I hear ya.

Julianne Moore could have done well....
I could see Kidman doing a great job with the role.
I don't mind Kidman really. Though Nixon makes a much more believable housewife.
I just hope John Gallagher Jr. gets a chance to reprise his role, that would be amazing. Instead of giving it to some hot-up-and-coming-"stud".
i think this will turn out okay
My question is who will play Nat.....I loved Tyne Daly in it, but Ellen Burstyn would be prefect for the film
Any thoughts?
Ehh, I would have preferred to see Nixon in the role, but I guess i'll settle for Kidman. I've gotten used to the fact that all plays and musicals lately seem to have gone to the big screen. I'm still going to see it, of course.
the ENTIRE cast of the play would be EXCEPTIONAL in the film... Nixon's acting is superior to Kidman's. She had her teeth fixed a while ago, but it's gross that that would, even in jest, be the reason she wouldn't be asked to do the movie.
Perhaps she doesn't want to??
It wouldn't be such a bad thing if Mary Catherine G & Johnny Gal came back either....
I think she'd want to, toomeytwopiece. Her role is probably considered a clear Oscar-shot for Kidman, though. And we already know that homegirl is producing and starring in it.
Female Joe Brooks of Hollywood?

Mary-Louise Parker is not "fierce." She never seems fully awake, and she speaks in a constant monotone that suggest a perpetual cold in the nose.
that's kind of a slap in the face for Cynthia, no? =/
No, it isn't a slap in the face to Cynthia. It is very rare for Broadway performers to recreate the roles they originated on stage.
Nicole Kidman is an excellent actress, a proven box-office attraction, and she can downplay her glamor when necessary. As has been said before, the film probably wouldn't be getting made at all if she weren't involved.
Well, Cynthia isn't really a Broadway performer. She's only done one show. She IS a Hollywood star. She's done movies and TV shows...why wouldn't they want her back? Obviously she can do the role. She won a Tony for it!
Cynthia has been performing on Broadway since she was a teenager. She very famously appeared in TWO shows at once in the mid 80's - "The Real Thing" and "Hurlyburly." Check out her listing on IMDB.
Damn. Way to f*ck up a great play.
If anyone's gonna ruin the film, it won't be Kidman. She's a phenomenal talent.
