Posted: 12/18/03 at 10:35amI was half listening to one of those Hollywood gossip shows and I thought they said that Nicole Ritchie was going to audition for Rent. A little further investigation found that she may be considered for Maureen. Has anyone heard her sing and can she do it?
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Posted: 12/18/03 at 11:17amWith her heroin bust, two trips to rehab, etc.? I'd be shocked if she made it through the whole casting process and was successful at being cast. I don't think we have too much to worry about, especially if this TV show is any indication as to her work ethic, reliability, and sense of responsibility (even though I know this is just TV)......I can't imagine them depending on her to handle the role. And then when she splashed water on her face a pretended she was crying...if that is her acting, there is no way she can make it into RENT.

I think she would bring in a whole new generation and convert young people to being musical theater fans for life. They would then get turned on to Millie, which, if the producers are smart, will at that point, star Paris Hilton.
Also, I think it would be really close-minded of the RENT producers to not cast Nicole because of her heroin issues since heroin is a character in RENT.
