No More Backstage Visits At Broadway Shows?

Im hearing that starting immediately, all (or most) Broadway shows will suspend letting any visitors backstage before or after shows.

I have a scheduled backstage tour at a show on 3/28. I have not heard anything from either the show (a general announcement), the person who’s taking us backstage, or the organization who set up the tour stating that there will be no future backstage tours. If I hear anything, I will report back.

Is this in response to the corona virus or is this more of a permanent change due to other things?

The Broadway League has decided that there will be no backstage guests for 30 days, in response to the coronavirus.

I can also confirm that this is the case, starting this Monday, 3/9, for 30 days. Yes, it is all due to coronavirus concerns. I work in a very large Bway house, and I received word today of this new policy

I assume all shows will be gladly refunding tickets that were purchased well in advance of that pesky virus hitting?

The lovely Eva from Hadestown just announced there will be no stage door or back stage visits for 30 days at the Walter Kerr Theatre.
