OFFICIAL! PBS will broadcast COMPANY!!!

For those who didn't hear nor want to revisit all the other threads containing this last bit of news...

It's finally official -- PBS is indeed going to broadcast COMPANY as part of their Great Performances series. No air date has been set, but at least we know this will be released on DVD as all the other Great Performances have been.

I never thought I would ever get to see this show, and now this happens. Finally, I get to see Mr. Esparza doin' his thing.

I'll say once again how thrilled I am. People fall in love with shows all the time, but more often than not, when they're gone, they're gone forever -- I feel so lucky that this show I love so much has been chosen as one of the few to be preserved this way.

Thank you to the powers that be for making this weekend's goodbye a little bit easier.

I was looking at clips from this today, and thinking how badly I would love to have a lasting memory of going to see this great show, not to mention looking at Raul is always a wonderful experience.

This is so amazing. Another groundbreaking legendary musical preserved. Yay.

Now I CAN'T wait for an air date. I just hope they don't make us wait too long.

Lonny Price has a well-respected reputation for directing 'live' performances for television. This IS John Doyle's production. Lonny Price is only directing the cameras for the 'live' tapings.

10 cameras will be shooting simutaneously, with Lonny Price 'directing' which camera shot/set-up is shooting at any given time.

Nothing more; nothing less.

ljay889...are you referring to me?

If so...then, yes...I already have it on DVD. But this one will be special since it's being shot with 10 cameras as opposed to the one I already have which was only shot with one camera.
