To those who have access to the NY Times review: take a look at the picture of Bette on the staircase. Doesn't her face look out of proportion? Photoshop anyone?
How is the far left mezzanine for this production?
Love the clips. Thanks, Dame. Carol in her prime was a force of nature!
Loving the after party pics. If anyone has more... let's see them!

The Times won't let me see the article unless I pay for it!
Hopefully Robby will repost. I don't know how to do it.

"or did you mean this one?

There was yet another photo of Bette coming down the staircase. It took up about half the page and as I was on the train coming back from the city, it sat on the seat beside me. Bette's head/face were out of proportion and the more I looked at it the more eerie it became.

"I've seen most of the photos but not that one? Hmmmmm...what publication?

It's possible this particular photo was used only in print editions. Bette is closer to the top of the staircase and there's a shadow under her chin.
Dollypop, stop. You're making this up, just to be negative.

Dollypop, I've seen the image, it's all over instagram for those interested, and it's just Bette with her chin at a certain angle which gives her a slight double chin. Not the most flattering picture perhaps, but I wouldn't have thought anything of it had you not said anything.

I tried taking a picture of the newspaper but somehow it won't post here. It looks like Bette has no neck at all. Weird.
"
Stop, Dollypop. Why must you make even Hello, Dolly! into something unpleasant?

Maybe not so weird... I've heard rumors that Bette's twin sister Eva has been spotted in the vicinity of the Shubert. Eva and Bette are identical, except for one key feature... Eva has no neck. Eva has always resented living in her sisters shadow, and years ago vowed that one day it would be HER in the spotlight, even if she had to kill for it... my God, you don't suppose.... I can't bear to think about it...
Bettes sister died tragically while visiting here in NYC during her run in Fiddler.
In the weeks leading up to my seeing the show last Saturday, I couldn't help but have the Freakazoid! parody in my head.

No need to be a jerk. This "sidecar thread "was specifically started to ask about seats, merchandise, etc. If you don't like it, stick to the main Dolly thread.

Brian, don't seating charts help?

"Why ask me that?
I don't ask questions about what a view is like. It's pretty obvious to me without having to ask for every theatre like none of them have layouts almost identical to each other.
you sit at the front- you'll be looking up. It's close. You sit on the side- it's not as good as the middle. If you sit at the back of the theatre- your pretty far away.
Anyway-back to the show maybe?
I guess the social media freeze for the company is over.
