Hadestown
Jagged Little Pill
Tootsie
King Kong
Pretty Woman
The Prom
Moulin Rouge"
Also Head Over Heels and Gettin' The Band Back Together (neither of which I imagine will be in any way contenders, but still).

Not a chance you are correct about the Pretty Woman shut out. Every Chicago review (I believe) touted Samantha Barks' turn as a "star making performance".
I saw the show and thought it was so-so but Samantha was terrific. She’ll be nominated.
Thanks all. Updated list of likely new musicals:
Hadestown
Jagged Little Pill
Tootsie
King Kong
Pretty Woman
The Prom
Moulin Rouge
Ain’t Too Proud
Gettin’ the Band Back Together
Head Over Heels

Cher Show
I haven't checked in to see what everyone is saying about it here, but word of mouth among my friends is that The Cher Show stinks to high heaven.
I predict Hadestown sweeps in and reigns supreme in an otherwise drab season. I'm interested to see what the show evolves into at The National. I suspect that it will transform into a rather lush production.
Revival is interesting to me. I forgot when the London revival of Company is opening, but with Elliott's success with Angels, maybe they'll transfer. I think we'll get The Secret Garden and I bet Rudin does a Spring musical like he's done for the last few years.

Glenda Jackson for King Lear. Does anybody know if Yerma is planning to make the jump, because Billie Piper could take the lead. For musicals, Hadestown and Kiss Me Kate will battle is it. It's not looking good.

I see no Best Musical nods for Head Over Heels, Pretty Woman and King Kong, most of the reviews were so-so or bad.
Heard nothing about ''Band'' but I don't think it's gonna be any good, the same goes for ''Ain't too Proud''.
Hadestown is the best choice, The Prom is likely.
Moulin Rouge is an interrogation mark at the moment for me, it could go really wrong.
Based on the try-outs both Cher Show and Jagged Little Pill (all jukebox) can be good depending whether they will fix some problems.

Ain’t Too Proud got rave reviews at Berkeley Rep and Peter Marks of the Washington Post just gave it a pretty great review after last night’s opening at The Kennedy Center so you might want to rethink that.

"Right. And "The Cher Show" didn't get a very good review last night from Chris Jones of The Chicago Tribune. Both have the time to tinker before coming to New York. But for now it look likes the 5 Temptations battling it out between the 3 Chers, with the Donna's (Summers) still strutting around from the previous season.
How do we think the three actors in Lifespan of a Fact will be considered? Radcliffe as leading and Cannivale and Jones featured? All three featured? All three leading? I feel like you could make a case for any of that.
Incidentally, anyone know when the next committee rulings are?
Getting The Band Back Together will sweep.
