Granted, there are many shows that once you see them, you can die happy never having seen them again, but what about the shows that you see once and can't believe how anxious you are to see a second time? Whether it's simply a mesmerizing performance, or maybe so much was going on on the stage that you couldn't watch everything at once - or maybe you just fell in love with the show and want to see it as much as possible. And what about the shows you only got to see once, and now you're hoping for a chance to see them again?
My choices:
The Rocky Horror Show
Lennon
Les Miserables
Avenue Q
Taboo
Rent
All Shook Up

Cabaret. For seriously. I just think it can be done successfully in so many ways, so it never really has gotten old to me.

I am dying to see DRS again.
DYING.
Went to the opening night of "Sweeney Todd" - the original with Len Cariou and Angela Lansbury. Amazing. I want that night back again. And the second performance of "42ns Street" at the Winter Garden. Jerry Orbach, my god. When that curtain went up just two feet and you saw 100 tap dancing feet (the SOUND was deafening). AS a kid, I saw "Gypsy" with the Merm. I wish I could remember and savor it more, but I don't. I DO remember the opening night of "Camelot." My parents took me for my birthday to the O'keefe Center in Toronto. I was six (do the math) and the show seemed to run longer than my life to that date - four and a half hours, but with great singing.
Hurry up with that wayback machine, Mr. Peabody.....
