Out celebrity blogger Perez Hilton: 'Dance class might make your kid gay'

The often controversial gay blogger Perez Hilton says he won't be signing up his 5-year-old son for dance classes because ''like 50 percent or more of little boys who take dance class end up being gay. If I had my preference, I would prefer my son to be heterosexual because that’s easier.” Hilton pointed out that gay people are still discriminated against in America, so he wouldn't want his kids ''to have a harder path in life.''

Hilton insists that ''Dance class might make your kid gay'' and adds: “I don’t think it’s a homophobic thing to say that a disproportionate amount of male singers, actors [and] dancers on Broadway are gay. There are more gay men drawn to that profession. That’s not homophobic; that’s just a fact.”

This is a very unfortunate and confusing statement. At the end, he acknowledges that gay men tend to be drawn to this line of work, but the rest of it makes it sound like he thinks dancing MAKES boys gay.

So all of the gays on Broadway had parents who forced them to take dance classes?! I just figured the young gay boys wanted dance classes, and then just kept going with it... who knew?!?
