PETA to protest Catherine Zeta-Jones outside of the Walter Kerr theater...

Actually, I do, too. I will explain why.

It was given to me by my grandfather after my grandmother died. I did not have the heart to say, "I don't want this!" or "What kind of people ARE you?" or "First grandma, now this poor defenseless animal?"

It belonged to my grandmother, so I have it, but I want to get rid of it! I just don't know what to do with it! Do I donate it to Goodwill and encourage someone else in this world to wear it, which may encourage other people to wear it? Do I throw it out? That seems kind of callous.

If there is anyone out there who knows of something I can do with this that might actually help the cause or whatever, please let me know. I've been feeling awful about it ever since I got it. (And, of course, I have NEVER worn it.)

"Ah Eddie, stop giving Beaver the business!"

Fur really creeps me out. I had someone stop over today with a huge fur hat. It really bothered me. Never use to. I wear leather and if doesn't phase me.

It's not really helping the cause, but if you have a college near you with a theatre department I would suggest donating it to them if you want to get rid of it. Most colleges are more than willing to accept such a donation (especially if it's in good shape), and then at least it will only be worn on stage and not in the general public, if that's any consolation.

Thanks, guys. That is a really good idea. I will donate it to my favorite local theatre.

Who knows? Maybe it will help the cause. Maybe someone will mount a production that includes this very theme...and they can splatter red paint all over it! PETA to protest Catherine Zeta-Jones outside of the Walter Kerr theater...

What movie was this classic line from? I can't remember for the life of me...

Protestor: "Do you know how many poor, defenseless animals had to die for you to get that coat?"

Woman in fur coat: "Do you know how many old, ugly animals I had to f@#k to get this coat?"

One of my favorites, but I forgot what it is from.

Of the splattering? No. I didn't mean to imply we did the splattering onstage. I meant in the producers garage. I have video of the show. I'm trying to figure out how to digitize it.

Here is said coat.

And listening to Tommy Gnosis, who was performing at The Pageant, just a few blocks down from the back room of the restaurant we were in.
