That just means contracts haven't been signed yet. While Borle is definitely out, most of the rest of the Off-Broadway cast will make the move uptown.

Another article on SMASH by Pat Healy, to be published in Sunday's Arts and Leisure section, again confirms that ""Mr. Borle recently opted not to reprise a starring role in the play Peter and the Starcatcher if it moves to Broadway from Off Broadway this spring."
But I guess there's still a chance he'll do it!
But I guess there's still a chance he'll do it!
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."

Casting notices always say that. But I'm sure everyone will make the jump.

Honestly... yes. Things change. I'm not saying he WILL. Please don't confuse what I'm saying. He probably won't end up doing it, but there is always a chance. As for your "straight from the horse's mouth" business, that was exactly the case with Cheyenne in Finian's in my example. He was the one who said he wouldn't continue with the show.
In any case, Christian probably won't be able to do the show, but if he somehow finds a way to swing it, a lot of people will be really happy. That's all I'm saying.

K. I'll buy you a beer if he manages to move heaven and earth and do the production.

It's interesting that outside producers are bringing to Broadway rather than Disney themselves given it's their first play but they'll still make money from it as they developed it before commisioning the off-Broadway production.

Broadway World has confirmed it.

'Smash' finishes wrapping for the season in March, so he will have time to rehearse. He must only be opening the show and will be doing it for a very limited engagement. If 'Smash' is a success, he'll leave the production before the 'Smash' begins filming season two.

OHHHHHHHHH SNAP! That tasted sweet. But not as sweet as my beer will taste, AC.
No no, I'm not actually rubbing it in your face. I'm just super happy that he's doing the show!

Has there been any information on how long Christian Borle will be in Peter before Smash starts filming again?
