It is rather impressive that they were able to recoup $8.5 million in 7 months.

How fantastic! This was the best show of last season. So glad to see it be such a hit in such a short period! A great revival that recouped in 7-8 months with no stars! That's a beautiful thing for the commercial theatre!

I just saw the show last week. One of the most magical experiences I've had in the theatre and it fills me with joy to read this. Congrats to all involved!

Wow! Absolutely happy. This was a show some objected to being revived because they felt it was too "dated", etc. Even more impressive is that it was accomplished without a "box office" star above the title, just great and talented, true Broadway theater professionals.

Glad to see that the naysayers were proven wrong. So, it took a little over 30 years to revive...but it was definitely worth the wait!

It probably helped that they're probably paying the ensemble minimums and that there's no giant automated set.
