I'm glad The Band's Visit stuck with their marquee artwork for the Playbill cover. I love it! What an improvement over the artwork for the Atlantic run, though even that had some resonance, but little marketability.
I also like the concept for the Junk artwork, though I wish they had done something more with the black spaces on the Playbill cover.

I always forget Roundabout sticks to B&W and I'm always disappointed when I'm reminded of it.
M. Butterfly is still a nice playbill but it really loses the impact of that black, white, and red. Especially the red. Muted gray just doesn't work as well.
I don't hate The Band's Visit. But it doesn't convey the warmth or humor of the show.
What a bland bunch. Band's Visit looks great, mainly because it's colorful and exhibits the show (the new batch is checkerboard with a dash of color). Junk is interesting, but nothing more. M Butterfly would've looked amazing with the red; it's decent as is but could've been so much more.
All color!!
I really dig the spongebob design!
What is that godawful Parisian Woman playbill... on the other hand, Once on This Island and Spongebob look good
Parisian Woman almost feels like they sent the wrong file to the printer. Like, really?
Once on This Island really looks fabulous!
I wish the pineapple and logo were blown up a tad bigger for Spongebob, but it's also wonderful.

What is "Home For the Holidays"?
Meteor Shower looks like clip art.
The Parisian Woman... looks a bit blurry but decent enough.
I wish Once On This Island gave you more of an... island vibe instead of generic children's book but otherwise it's charming and it's nice to have some more color. I wonder if people who don't know the show will be misled to into thinking it's purely a children's show. True, the gods sort of single out Timoune when she's young, but the romance (when she's older) is the bulk of the story.
Good job, Spongebob. Not the most fun but I don't think people need a Playbill to sell them on the show.
Meteor Shower is aggressively bad. VintageSnarker nailed it with "clip art." That, and knock off Woody Allen font.

Agree that Spongebob is the best of the lot. Happen to also like The Parisian Woman.

The Parisian Woman makes my eye twitch... the angle doesn't look right to give that reflection
The Children and Farinelli and the King now posted.
I'm digging The Children Playbill!
Angels in America and Escape to Margaritaville are up:
And perhaps the Waitress cover for post Mraz performances:

Happen to really like Waitress with only Sara on the cover. She looks great!

Meh on Angels in America but I don't think that show needs artwork to sell itself and maybe they didn't want the focus to be on the actors.
Escape to Margaritaville is vaguely clip art-y but otherwise does what it needs to do. I like the colors but it could look more... fun.
I don't know why they wouldn't just re-use Sara's initial solo cover. I don't think this one is an improvement.
Frozen has that Lion King and Aladdin vibe but I wish they'd tried to do something more. Part of a snowflake isn't really the kind of imagery that screams "we think this is going to run for 20 years." Beauty and the Beast was strong. But with all the following shows I don't think they've been as confident about their style. Tarzan tried. Little Mermaid and Mary Poppins went in a slightly different direction. But still, you look at that Lion King artwork and it feels iconic in a way the others don't.

I really like Angels In America, it's got such an atmospheric vibe to it. Simple and punchy.
Likewise, Waitress seems so busy to me. Cluttered and weirdly airbrushed.
Frozen's not bad it's just not... great. I feel like it could have been more
I love Angels and Frozen.

This is the current Sara Bareilles/Jason Mraz playbill cover.
Found the Cursed Child Playbill(s) and made a layout of them side-by-side.
That Harry Potter playbill concept is FABULOUS.
Ok, yes. I’m even more excited now. Can’t wait to add those to my collection.
