Wow, Carousel. Just wow and not in a good way.

It could be a cover for a pamphlet discussing domestic abuse/couple’s counseling you see in clinics.
The Carousel Playbill doesn't work, it did for shows like Crucible and Glass Menagerie but this is a poor attempt. Kinda bummed this is what I'll be getting when I see it.. If they change it after opening I might have to have someone snag me one.

This comment is right on the money.

Not what I was expecting, but I still dig it"
This CAN'T be the final Playbill design. It's probably just a temporary design for now. Why can't they just put the design for the poster on the Playbill? I'm kinda digging the Playbill design though, but I feel it shouldn't be the final cover.

Summer looks so poorly photoshopped. There are 3 Donnas in the show. Not 5. They should have just used the one photo. Also, that shoulder (?) in the center seems like its coming out of an insane place.
Saint Joan is pretty standard but it's a lovely beauty shot.
Summer is so laughably, hilariously bad. Like, iconically bad.
Travesties and Saint Joan are fine. Nothing standout.
My Fair Lady is simply stunning.

Also looks like Lobby Hero is going black and white and there is a new one up for Waitress for when Katharine McPhee takes over.
I don't hate the Summer one lol! It's serving up disco camp.
I thing that the MFL artwork is pretty but idk missing something. I really loved an image LCT posted on Instagram with the title treatment set in a bed of flowers, now that was gorgeous (not sure how to link it??)

Thanks much for that, that's the one. Isn't it lovely?

I agree, the flowers are lovely. If they wanted something more abstract or ambiguous that didn't comment on the show that much I would have preferred the flowers to this blurry, anonymous crowd. James McMullan is capable of very fine detail work in watercolor so it's not like that was the issue.
That My Fair Lady playbill is stunning. My favorite artwork of the season.

So that means that both of them and Renee Flemming will be automatically considered in Leading Categories for the Tony Awards right? Since they're all billed above the title?
I wonder if they'll campaign for Renee Flemming to be considered for Supporting like Michael Cervaris was in the 2012 Evita revival since he was originally billed above the title as well.

Here ~
Love love love that THREE TALL WOMEN one. I think it has been the one of the black and white production photo playbills that most effectively channels the 1960's ones.

LOVE Three Tall Women. Best cover of the year.
Wow actually love that iceman one even more! Stunning and so evocative, though I don't know anything about the play.

I really love The Iceman Cometh. If you're not going to sell the star casting (which people arguably know about already) then it's actually a good, evocative cover.
Does anyone know if Carousel got a new cover?
