Not working for me.

I worked with Linda B when I was a young lad!
This is a funny concept, but quite interesting. It does bring a personal touch to the production.
I agree. I am looking forward to seeing what sorts of things they bring to the Castcom once the show has opened.

are they going to sing?
Not working for me either . I loaded the most current media player and all I got for my trouble was that the connection had been closed by the server.

I caught the last few minutes of it. They did sing something. It wasn't bad. Looking forward to them on Broadway!!!

Very fun! Frank Galati was cracking me up. He reminds me of Santa. I can't wait to hear more songs!
It worked for me even though I have dial-up, I didn't get any picture (as I expected) but I did get sound all the way through without any buffering at all. It was about a half hour long.
For those that didn't see/hear it, they basically introduced all the major players in the production cast & crew, and they shared little tidbits. A couple of the Irish dancers did a brief dance 9it sounded FANTASTIC I bet it looked cool too). Also they did sing a piece of one of the chrous numbers at the very end.
Plus the director mentioned that they'd love feedback and suggestions at info@thepiratequeen.com (correct me if that's not entirely correct).
From what we've heard, the score bares much more resemblence to "Martin Guerre" than to "Mis" or "Saigon," IMO. I did like the clips of "Because I Am A Wife" and "I'll Be There" (or whatever the name of that song will be) than this chrous number. But so far, I like it!
That was very cool! So sweet for them to be able to do little shout outs to people back home. Now that the intros are done I hope we get to see them actually rehearsing! :)
They want feedback! info@thepiratequeen.com
does anyone know when they are broadcasting the next episode?
Please, for the benefit of those who weren't able to see it -- do we check every day at 4 EDT? Or is this only a once a week thing?
Very frustrating...
It's a daily thing, kec, and I'm sorry that you couldn't get it. Try not to be too frustrated, it'll be archived on the official site soon enough. As for what time to check back tomorrow - I'm not sure! It doesn't say so I'd assume "same time, same place". If I find out any different I'll post here. I'd keep checking the official site for updates. Also, sometimes news is posted quicker on www.piratequeenmusical.com so check there too.
Thanks, Popular... I'll check back.
what makes it even more annoying is that I tried it on three different servers -- AOL, Mozilla, and IE -- and couldn't get a bl**dy thing. The preview videos worked fine so I'm not quite sure what the problem was.
Yah, my computer did not connect right away. Wasn't able to see Stephanie and Hadley. Had 2 computers on trying to make a connection and finally my laptop came on and then the P.C. What I saw was great. Very good cast and they seem to have fun with one another. Each day it should be more and more informative and interesting!!!
So for sure these will be archived on the site?
CAJ - yes it'll be archived. Look for it within the next few days. Heck, just check back here... I'll post when it's up!
Lady Italy - well you definitely made the effort! Better luck next time. PM me if you have questions about what you missed.
kec - I have to say, you're very cute to have censored "bloody". That made me laugh. I would've spelled it out in full at least once if I were you (not the same conotation here in the States)... so annoying but hopefully you can see it later when they put it up!

I did have it written out originally, but out of respect for any Brits on the Board (I'm American), I made a "slight" revision. If I encounter the same problem the next time I try to access Castcom, I won't be so "respectful."
Will Stephanie be above the title in this show?
Who makes that decision and why wouldn't she be? I'm actually curious to know if someone is knowledgable about these things. I'm thinking that may be something that's negotiated into her contract?
Anyway, I'm guessing YES! And if not, she should be.

I guess it all depends. There was never above the title billing in LES MIZ or CATS. And after Jonathan Pryce left, I think MISS SAIGON was the same. With musicals like these, it often seems they want the show to be the star.
Does anyone get billed above the title for WICKED?
Kristin and Idina both got above the title billing...the last time I saw WICKED (May 30th), Eden and Kate were both listed above the title in the playbill.
I hope Stephanie is above the title, but I have a feeling (like tophertilson mentioned) that the producers may want the show to be the star. If anyone in Chicago sees the marquee, please let us know. Thanks!

Good question! Grania was listed in the casting call as "starring role," while the others were listed as leads, and ibdb lists her as "starring" and the other leads as "also starring," but...who knows? This show is a bit different from LES MIS in that it quite clearly has a single main character, as opposed to several whose lives intersect.
I agree with Popular that she SHOULD be listed at the top.

Yes, I understand that the show is probably the star at this point. I had forgotten that sometimes nobody is above at all.
This may be a naive question but what does above title mean to me as an audience member other than being able to get a refund if they're out? I mean why does it really matter?
