Well I agree with you about being eager to SEE stuff but not about it being boring. I thought it was pretty cool to see how the departments are all spread out in the theatre and I enjoy hearing how excited Galati is to share with us his vision of the show and how he approaches it as a director. And it may be boring to hear shoutouts to people you don't know from people you don't know... but just think how nice that must be if it was to YOU and you were somewhere on the other side of the world seeing that.
That being said... time for Steph to pay a visit to CASTCOM! It's her birthday tomorrow so hopefully they can show us a little bit of whatever celebration they may have for her :)

I like that they're showing folks in the ensemble that normally wouldn't get alot of attention from press and interviews. Altough I of course want to hear how Steph is doing, it's cool to see the whole group and not just the principal cast members.

Such a cool concept for a show to do! Wish they all did this!!

Agreed, Popular--hope they have a celebration for Steph and that they show part of it (we know there will be cake!). It would also be awesome if they knew about Talk Like a Pirate Day and did something with that...could be really funny!
2 new castcoms up! One completely new one, and one is a portion of the live interviews shown 9/12.
Bard- it could still happen They haven't been posting what they tape on the same day so we still may see some bday celebration footage within the next few days.
Birthday castcom up!!!
I just read the news that the Pirate Queen Broadway ticket is on sale tomorrow. I rushed to ticketmaster immediately. However, I cannot find ticket for April 5, the opening night. Is there anyway that I can buy ticket for that performance?
Any information is highly appreciated.

Ready, Set, ....BUY!!!! :)
Good luck to all the amex holders.
9/20 CASTCOM with Hadley up!
I'll be buying my first preview ticket today! So excited!

I got 3/2/07 tickets for the matinee, Row CC! I just hope they don't change it to evening only shows like Lestat did, but I really wanted to keep Sat night open for a leisurely dinner, not rushing at 6pm or eating at 11 pm.
That makes ACL on Friday night and Les Miz on Sunday matinee. Not too bad for my early trip!
As an aside, why is there such a big gap in dates between the shows in Chicago and NYC? Is that because of the theater availabilty? What does the cast do in between dates, will they be rehearsing in NYC?

I think the Grinch has the Hilton until sometime in January, and the sets are quite something, so I imagine it will take them some time to get it all set back up again.

Good question! I really don't know, but I'm guessing how much time they have off would depend on the feedback they've gotten during tryouts, and on how much work is needed to tighten the show up even further for NY.
I'm personally hoping that Stephanie has some time off to continue working on her album but that is probably more a wish on my part rather than a probability... fingers crossed on that one!

For those, who've been following the castcom from the beginning, do any of these clips contain music from the show? I'm not interested in interviews and such, but I'm really excited to hear the music from the show. I don't want to sit through every video if someone might have the quick answer. Thanks in advance.

Krazy - the castcom previews have some good music clips in there, so definitely check those out! The live castcom they did from Sept. 12 had the cast singing a number at the end, but they're releasing that castcom in bits and pieces every few days.
2 new castcoms today with musical director Julian Kelly, aerial stunt director Paul Rubin, and ensemble Nick Adams and Brianna Yacavone.
Clip from the live 9/12 castcom with Jeff McCarthy and Marcus Chait up.
And now parts 1 and 2 with Authors Boublil and Schonberg are up as well...
Just watched the two clips with the authors. Extremely interesting to hear their point of view.
I'm really finding this all so very interesting.
Parts 1 & 2 with the costume designer are up - VERY COOL STUFF!!!!!!!

So I'm not able to log on very often, but everytime I do I am getting more and more excited about this show. Castcom! Love it. I mean, personal interviews with the composers? Getting to know ensemble members. More and more clips of Hadley and Marcus (MORE PLEASE!). Seeing costume fittings and meeting the music director. I was already enthused about seeing this, but now I almost feel like a part of it. Have I fallen victim to an ingenious marketing ploy? Or am I just an admitted musical theater freak who might need help. Either way I can't wait to see Steph and the boys in a couple of weeks. It sounds like tech has been long and arduous, but I for one and hoping it's all worth it and they have a great show on their hands. We'll see soon.

QB- Perhaps a little of both! When are you going to see it? I really look forward to your thoughts on it!
