Very cool stuff indeed, Popular. I sew clothes as a hobby, so seeing all those rich fabrics had me salivating a bit.

Will the cast recording be a double CD?
No clue, WAT.
BTW - 9/26 castcom up! Steph gives a "tour" of her dressing room and Marcus Chait... well, I haven't viewed his yet, but it's up :)
Off to go look.

They just put up the castcom with Linda Balgord showing us her dressing room. I love the fabric on the wall, much more homey feeling. And I loved hearing her talk about Queen Elizabeth, should be a cool character to watch, with insanely awesome costumes.
Linda's dressing room looks great -- and it was interesting to hear her talk about playing the character. Marcus Chait's segment was interesting as well, with tips on how he approaches playing a "bad guy."
Oooh, that was quick! Thanks Lauren :)
Linda certainly has some curtain hanging skills!
Bumping this... THREE more added since the one with Linda this morning!
Hearing/seeing those clips of the sitz-probe gets me even more excited for October 28th (when I see it)!!!!
Oooh, boy's dressing room y'all! Need I say more?
"Need I say more? "
Nope!
Thanks -- nice way to start my day!
Two more added - they are on a roll!
ALSO... I noticed the ad for castcom now says "join us backstage for our first performanc on Oct 3rd"!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder how long they'll do the castcoms. It would be interesting if it went all the way through the preview run in Chicago to hear how they're changing it based on audience reactions and such.
Lauren - I would LOVE to hear about the changes!!
BTW - yes, even MORE Castcoms now up since the wigs.
Saturday Castcoms up!!
Steph & Hadley, and John & Moya, ... (it's still early, maybe more later?)

Looks like Steph and Hadley have no fun together Should make for great chemistry onstage.
Yeah, poor things.... no fun at all. LOL
Nothing new today as of yet as far as CASTCOM goes. I keep hoping an announcement will be made about what time they'r going live backstage. Not that I expect to see anything DURING the show, but maybe before or after since the ads now suggest that.

I got my tickets for the evening performance on October 14. Woo!
The 14th is my brother's bday, AND... you are now the fourth person I know going that night!
BTW - I spoke too soon. Three new ones up. Dress rehearsal, intro to Grace's son, and make-up designer. :)

I love that we got to see some of the costumes, and I have to say, Marcus Chait looks mighty good in his costume. I knew I would love this show, tons of guys!!!

A couple of quick things before I head off to CHICAGO!
I just posted on another thread that my parents suprised me this weekend. Early birthday present, father/daughter trip to Chicago to see the Wednesday preview. I don't know if I could be more excited.
And- CASTCOM today! Wow. As if I wasn't jazzed up enough, the backstage castcom was out of control. The costumes, Boublil and Schoenberg just hanging out backstage with the cast, and YES WIckedLauren, Marcus Chait not looking bad AT ALL(in what I guess is a wig, unless he's grown his hair out considerably since Urban Cowboy?). He and Hadley (and most of the boys I've seen in this thing) are mighty fine. The snippets of Queen Elizabeth looked unreal. And the thing that got me most excited was the underscoring to that castcom. What a great anthem. I hope/assume that's in the show. Loved the Irish sound mixed with a kind of Broadway rock vibe.
Wednesday can't get here soon enough.
I will have a report for you all later this week. Bringing my laptop so will try to post as soon as I can. And I will certainly take into account that this is a preview and they are very early in their process. I'm not a big fan of people slamming shows in their early stages, so I'll do my best to be fair.
Thanks mom and dad!
