I just got on line about 9:30 and the (very short - 20 person) line seems to be a nice mix of rush and U/S performance folk - so getting here early means you’ll probably get a great seat
At 10:15 when I got up to the window, I got B 101 Orch
The rush sold out super fast
Please keep us posted if you/anyone you know has a free ticket for the understudy show!

Looks like they’re assigning seats in order of pickup, so if you're on the list go get yours as soon as possible. I got there at 10, line was a mix of u/s matinee pickups, rush, and advance sale. At 10:19 I had Orchestra B112 in hand (the two people picking up immediately before me got Row B as well). I saw the NT Live screening with Jodie, and am really looking forward to seeing another take on the performance!

For anyone picking up their ticket this morning, did you see a standby line?

No.
Just picked up my ticket. They are indeed assigning on a first come, first serve basis in terms of location. Names are on a list, not the ticket. There was no line at all, standby or otherwise.

I regretted not picking up my ticket sooner as soon as I saw it was first come first serve. Got there around 1:05PM. My seat is still great. It’s M on the aisle. You get a poster program which is nice, but I suppose I gotta see it again to get the actual playbill though.
I thought Arlington was a revelation and really threw her whole self into this role. (Saying this as someone who went in blind). The character felt very lived-in and there was not a single dishonest note in her whole performance and I was left absolutely WRECKED. Justin Miller, the director, even gave a small intro about how these types of performances are a West End tradition and that got the crowd excited.
I can definitely see why it missed out on Best Play though - the strength of the piece relies on the performer, and a lesser performer could turn the latter half of the play into a very preachy Lifetime Movie sermon.
I got to speak with her after the show and she was lovely
She really was excellent this afternoon. I'm very grateful to have had the opportunity to see it this afternoon.
