I feel like this is getting racist.

I'll follow Gypsy's great example.
I was born in 1961, and my first Broadway touring show was HAIR in 1971 (I had very progressive parents!). My first Broadway musical was The Magic Show in '74 and my first Broadway drama was Torch Song in '83.
I've worked in college administration since I got out of grad school in 1984 and try make it to NYC once a year for a long weekend of shows. I also try and make it to London every other year. I will be up in NYC in early August and have tix for 'Sleep No More' already entirely because of this Board.
I did theater in HS and college, but I am a much better audience member than performer. I travel a decent amount for work, and try and catch regional shows when on the road (saw Chicago Shakespeare & Steppenwolf in May and seeing Arena's Oklahoma when in DC next month).

Is it true, Jordan, that you're the heir to the Madame Alexander Doll fortune and that you've never worked a day in your life?

Happy Friday all! Time for a margarita!
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

I don't consider myself an "old fart" but having reached the gay glass ceiling career-wise I'm reassured by the thought that the smartest people never get to the top because they're smart enough to realise they don't want to go there.

Thanks for setting the rumors straight (as it were), Jordan!
Now every time one of those dolls is sold, I'll think of you.

I have a Madame Alexander Tinkerbell doll! Don't ask.
And my Roobies are perky and sensitive. They make me feel like a Fanning.

Aww, I always miss the good drama on here.
Anyway, I think my career is a professional message board thread killer. Whatever message board thread I post to, it seems like the thread dies within a page of my posting. Just try to prove me wrong with this thread! (well, except for the Kennedy Center "Follies" thread. That seems to still be going strong).

Looks like I missed a good 'un. I so envy all of you that have jobs that give you the luxury of down time.
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”
