You know what? Maybe just one rant thread isn't such a great idea. It is already unwieldy, the matters covered are all over the map, and it's hard to participate in a discussion of one specific point.

Doodlenyc, you obviously think Elena Roger is miscast as Evita, but to say she was robbed of talent is a very ignorant statement that does not take any of her body of work into account. Think about the overall picture before you condemn an artist. Ciao.
