"And it's absolutely ridiculous that Julie Andrews has won every award in the world except the Nobel Peace Prize and the Tony Award. No doubt the former will come first."
Had she accepted her 1995 Tony Nomination for VICTOR/VICTORIA, she undoubtedly would've won.

I saw all the nominated performances that season and I think she was tossed a bone. Her nomination stood, regardless. I would have been greatly surprised and disappointed if she won for that performance.

I should have won the Tony for playing the cat in Cat on A Hot Tin Roof, but I was never even cast. The injustice is beyond belief.
I stand corrected, you are as vapid as they say.

I remember Bernadette Peters in ALW's Song and Dance as being very wonderful. Does anyone have any info or memory of who replaced her after she left?

I know Betty Buckley was a replacement in Song and Dance, but I'm not sure when.

Betty Buckley replaced Bernadette. The show closed shortly after she did.

Michael Stuhlbarg in The Pillowman.
Also, his name is Alan Cumming. How hard is it for people to get that right?

You say Rogers and I say Roger
You say Cummings and I say Cumming
Elena ROGER. Alan CUMMING.
Let's take the last letter off.

I agree with Mister Matt on Julie Andrews. If she had won in '96 for Victor/Victoria it would have been a case of her getting the award for being Julie Andrews and coming back to Broadway, not for the work she was doing in a mediocre at best show.
