Im taking my daughters to NYC for the day just to see Phantom of the Opera. Looking at Broadway.com to buy tickets and I have the choice of either Row A 108-110 or Row J 105-107. Any pros or cons about these seats? Thank you for your insight, this is a special trip for my girls.

Row A is second row, and those seats would put you basically in the center. You'd get to see the magnificent details in the costumes and such, and feel very close to the action. You'd be pretty much under the chandelier, which is cool for when it rises and falls. The only thing I can think of is occasionally the conductor's arm will be in your vision because he does have to signal for certain starts in the show (it's not distractingly so though, just his hand really). Near the end of act 1, you'd just have to look straight up to see when the Phantom is on the proscenium and for the end of Act 1.
I've sat in the front row sliiiighlty off center and loved it, but I've seen the show many, many times from all over the theater, so I knew parts to look for. Being that close is fun during Masquerade - makes you feel like they're really making eye contact with you.
Row J would give you a great view as well. That would allow you to see more of the stage straight on, without turning your head. The seats at the Majestic are decently sloped, but if you get a really tall or fidgety person in front of you, that may affect the viewing. This would still be a great view as well, as you'd be more able to see the chandelier fall and a few other things in the show.
Depends on what you're looking for I guess. A fuller view in row J versus a super up close view. The front row would offer you more access to some of the shock factor moments of the show. Don't really think you could go wrong with either.

Thank you for all the great info! I know we would get a close up of everything in Row A but don't want to have to look up to the stage and crane our necks to see everything. Only thing I was worried about in Row J was the overhang of the mezzanine. Thanks again!!

Just saw Row F is also available 105-107
I hope you're not buying the tickets directly from broadway.com or be prepared to get ripped off. Get the tickets from telecharge instead.

Exactly. Whatever you do, do NOT buy from Broadway.com. Tele-Charge is the official ticket outlet for THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and is directly linked to the actual box office of the Majestic Theatre. Broadway.com is a third-party source and will charge you ridiculous service fees for using their service.

Thanks for the heads up about telecharge! Rows D, E and F center are all available on there!
I am personally a fan of Row A. I always try to get up front for Phantom. I've never had a problem crinking my neck in those seats, plus the chandelier coming directly over your head is a big plus...the only time you will find yourself crinking your neck is looking up above you when the Phantom is in the angel....just my opinion. I also love to see the details of the costumes and facial expressions of the actors, but both locations are great. The majestic really doesn't have a bad seat.
Also try discount tix on theatermania.
I've seen this show countless times, and almost always from center orchestra. If you can get front row of center orchestra, go for it; the view is spectacular and you will feel as though you are IN the show during the opening "Hannibal" scene. Just remember to look up to the top of the proscenium when you hear the Phantom's voice but don't see him on stage.

Thank you everyone for your help! Had several glitches trying to book tickets for this thru telecharge but was finally able to get them this morning. Several seating charts were showing tons of availability in the center orchestra but on the phone they said they were sold out in those seats but I was able to get front mezzanine Row A seats 109-111. Hope those are good!
I really hate telecharge compared to ticketmaster
