Just saw them do a reading of this last weekend and was thrilled today to find out they plan on finally doing this on broadway next season, can't wait.
Phillip Seymore Hoffman to direct Michael Cera & Kieran Culkin in This Is Our Youth on Broadway.

I really like Kieran Culkin. He'll be great.

Kieran Culkin played this role in the West End production but that was around a decade ago, he was really good (though not as good as Jake Gyllenhaal who originated it in London) but isn't he a bit old to still be performing it all these years later? It is called "This Is Our YOUTH" after all. I think he and Cera also did the play in Sydney, Australia not all that long ago.

Who's playing which role in this? Cause I can kind of both see them pulling off the Ruffalo role. But not sure either works as the other guy.

Culkin has played Warren (the Ruffalo role) in London and Sydney, so it stands to reason that he will play Warren again.

I wonder who they would get to play Jessica...although someone like Zoe Kazan or Zosia Mamet seems inevitable.

When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

Kieran is Dennis, Cera is Warren and in the reading I saw Halley Feiffer was Jessica, and it was phenomenal.

Kieran and Kenny Lonergan's writing go together like peas and carrots. Very excited for this production.
